The SC Lions Foundation has developed this “How-To Manual” as a guide with suggestions and sample documents to help you create a successful Candy Days or other fundraising. or donation drive. The South Carolina Lions Foundation needs your support to help fund the programs available through SC Lions Charitable Services.
We ask that your Club send of the proceeds from at least one fundraising activity during the period of 7/1/15 – 6/30/16, or $50.00 per member (whichever is greater).
This is true even if your Club does not participate in an actual Candy Days event.
Yes, there was a unilateral contract between GSU and Paul. For a basic contract to occur, a party has to make an offer (offeror) and another part has to accept the offer (offeree). GSU, the offeror, was giving out a scholarship and Paul, the offeree, accepted.
Additionally, the Chapter may access a fee for fundraising or other activity based on a 2/3 vote of the quorum of the members. The Chapter has assessed a ten (10) tickets sales fee, the equivalent of $1000 for the past two (2) years for the fundraiser which is typically offset by member ticket sales. In the first year of membership, this assessment is reduced to the minimum purchase of two (2) tickets for the current year’s fundraiser.
In additionto that, another idea would be to educate clubs about CKI preferred charities at DCON where members of clubs are introduced to the charities
The event was held at noon, just hours before a home meet for the Cougars. This allowed more people to attend, as family would be in town. There was an expected donation of $10 from participants, who could donate at the gate or via
Two specific groups that I identify with as part of my decision to attend Columbia Southern University is based on my family and work. As an individual my choice to attend is based on my own desire to achieve a higher education in order to obtain a job that is satisfactory to the life and goals I have mapped out for myself. By having a job for which I have specifically attended school for, it will allow me to get and sustain a career conducive to my own happiness and prosperity. While my own individual choice to attend school is great, I have a family that encouraged me greatly in this decision. Both my mother and father, between the two, have a Master’s degree in criminal justice, and a Bachelor's degree in paramedic studies. Naturally
In addition, I have many ideas on how to make the Beta Club grow and become more successful. One of which, is a school-wide rummage sale, with items donated by families. This would be good to help fund the Stop Hunger Now event that everyone enjoyed last year. The rummage
To support our mission, donors gave over $1,000,000 this past year. We celebrated our first joint fundraising golf tournament with the Meals on Wheels programs of Chapel Hill/Carrboro and Durham in October 2014. This was a great opportunity to raise awareness in the Triangle for our three programs that collectively feed over 2,000 seniors every week day. An unfortunate blast of winter weather caused us to cancel our Fat Tuesday Gala, but we were able to turn the auction into a successful online event and we raised funds to purchase over 18,000 meals. Our Fat Tuesday Gala will return with even more exciting plans next year on February
The best part of the club, is helping raise money for the children and families supported by BASE Camp, said the club’s President Hansee Karamchandani.

The last three months have been a busy time, evaluating the needs of the SC Lions Foundation and South Carolina Lions Charitable Services, while continuing to work on grant opportunities and other sources of funding. SCLCS and SCLF are at a crossroads for many of the programs, funding and service opportunities. There are several areas that SCLCS and SCLF need to address for the organizations to remain successful.
Thank you for the response. Since I live in North Carolina, I recently read a story in my news feed regarding the R.J. Reynolds Foundation donating $200,000 on August 30, 2016 to the American Red Cross to assist flood victims in Louisiana (Reynolds American Foundation, 2016). The R.J. Reynolds Foundation issued a press release publicizing the company’s donation and also discreetly referenced their long standing history of providing assistance during times of need to highlight the company’s ongoing commitment to the their customer’s communities.
If there are any other fundraisers for National Convention they will be posted to the chapter facebook and put into the newspaper. Thank you for supporting the students of Surprise Valley and helping them go on a once in a lifetime trip!
