September 11, 2001, was a dark day for most Americans. As on this day there was one of the country’s most violent acts of terrorism. This act was two commercial planes flying into the World Trade Center, the Twin Towers. This event causes the towers to collapse, killing lots of people. We’ll forever remember the people who died on that day and we’ll forever learn how to prevent it from happening again.
I ,personally, am learning new thing about the events that lead up to and the events that did happen on 9/11. For example, on February 26, 1993, there was a bomb that went off in the basement parking garage of the World Trade Center. This bomb was planned by Ramzi Yousef. Yousef also had an idea that was similar to the attack on the towers. However, the events that occurred on September 11, was carried out by a terrorist group called Al-Qaeda. Al-Qaeda was formed in 1988 by a man named Osama bin Laden. The way it was formed was by bin Laden traveling and recruiting or expanding his ideas of hatred. These recruits and members are known as holy warriors to the people of Saudi. As mentioned before, there was an earlier attack on the twin towers. The attack was a car bomb parked in the basement. The bomb went off at 12:17 and destroyed seven stories under the North Tower. The plan was for the north tower to fall into the south tower destroying them both. The plan did not succeed and neither tower fell. So ,basically, I didn’t know a lot about the events that lead up to

September 11, 2001, millions of New Yorkers and American citizens woke up and started their day, unprepared and unaware for the catastrophic attack that would be taking place in just a few short hours. At 8:46 a.m., Eastern Standard Time, Flight 11 crashed into the North Tower. The impact killed all of the passengers and crew as well as hundreds inside the building. At 9:03 a.m., a second plane, Flight 175, crashed into the corner of the South Tower killing passenger, crew, and workers who worked on floors seventy-five to eighty-three.
