After a moment of hesitation, I decided to look at Gemma for direction. Gemma nodded and I figured that was my confirmation to go up. Promptly, I began to climb the grand staircase, though I kept my eyes locked on the grandmother. For some odd notion, I was half worried Mrs. Worthington would pounce on top of me.
“Thanks,” I said, reaching down and grabbing the bag.
It seemed Gemma could sense the tension between us and quickly she added, “You know, grandmother was just telling me how grateful she was to have someone come and take our oranges. We have a lot in the back, and many often go to waste.”
Quickly, Mrs. Worthington held up two fingers as if to silence her and then swiveled her eyes straight toward me. Instantly her milky gaze

“Unlike…his,” she motioned a finger towards me.
“What boxes do you need help with?” I asked reluctantly.
The old woman’s eyes glittered with glee.
“Oh, just a few upstairs,” she purred, her smile stretching once again. “But we don’t need your help today. A special truck will be coming tomorrow to dispose of the items. But, we can count on you to come tomorrow and help us out...correct?”
“Uh, sure,” I said, but even as I agreed I hadn’t committed to it in my mind. There was something about this grandmother that I didn’t like. It was more than just her spooky appearance. It was the way she moved, spoke, she seemed aggressive, hostile.
“Good, now run along, boy, and take those oranges back to your mother.”
A tone of condescension was evident in her voice, but quickly I shrugged it off, and with her invitation, I didn’t hesitate to leave.
“See you around,” I nodded to Gemma, and hurriedly I rushed out the door, clutching hold of the brown paper bag.
Immediate relief washed over me as I stepped outside of the house. The whole thing felt creepy and bizarre, aside from Gemma. But her grandmother seemed very strange. It was abnormal the way she had scrutinized me, like I was some piece of fresh meat. She didn’t have plans to eat me. Did she? I didn’t plan on returning, only if it was truly necessary, and if it would help Gemma.
The torrential rain began to abate and reduced to a residual light sprinkle. Instantly I felt light as I
‘Well I think that's enough adventure for today let's go inside it's getting a little dark. I don't want Grandma knowing about this. She would kill me and you!”
You see that skinny boy 50 feet on the wall, covered in white powder and shaking, about to fall? “Yeah, that’s me”. The thing is, this is not like any teen story because something horrific is not happening, rather, something special. Something new. Something unexpected. I finally conquered a 5.11. Now, you may be wondering what a 5.11 is and why I have white powder and why I am so high. No, I promise I am not high, well, I am, but on a rock climbing wall in Stone Summit of Kennesaw.
Caroline gulped she was right; it wasn’t the time to think about that. Reluctantly, Genevieve gave in to her mother’s requests and went to her grandmother’s house with Caroline. Little did Genevieve know what was in store for her.
She made her way to the entrance and removed the door blockade. She nodded for me to go.
In the short story “Girl,” the daughter was being taught by the mother to prepare her for the future, and to make sure she meets her society’s expectations. It is possible that the daughter might get married in the future, because in the story the mother says “this is how you bully a man,” and “this is how a man bullies you.” In this quote the mother means to say what her daughter is allowed to do to her husband and what her husband can do to her. Another evidence of her daughter getting married is when the mother says “this is how to make a good medicine to throw away a child before it even becomes a child.“ The mother is instructing her daughter on how to abort a child, in case it was a bad moment to be pregnant during her marriage. Finally,

Girl, Interrupted is the retelling of Susan’s personal experience in a psych ward of a hospital. She explains that she is tired of all the stigma which comes when she would tell people about her mental illness and the fears and questions it evoked, no matter how irrational they were. There is no way to

This is a story about a little lost girl who wanted to find herself. One bright and sunny afternoon in 2008, the little girl’s mom told her three children, “We are going to Philadelphia for vacation at your grandma's house.”
Ruby tuned him out, opting instead to close her eyes and feel the wind on her face. A westward wind, she decided, opening her eyes again as the first trainee, far to her left, was launched. I’ll have to angle slightly eastward if I want to stay with the group, given how light I am. On the other hand, if I stay to the outskirts, I might be able to find a good partner without being spotted…
I will be the best and only the best... I will crush my opponents. I will crush the competition. I will crush that ball. I am the Greatest of All Time. I am Josh Smith.
“Guys tonight has been an awesome night”,said Rebecca. “ I know right, that DJ skills were on point and the dancing was even better,” said Matt. “Well I will see you hopefully tomorrow for another awesome day on the beach”, said Rebecca sleepily. “ Well I will see you soon then”, replied Matt. “Goodnight”, said them both very tired.
“Yeah, I guess,” I responded. “Adios.” I sluggishly hauled my five-ton backpack and pulled open the decorative wooden door.
A little girl, no bigger than Vivi, with bright purple hair stomped over to Xion and snatched the charm right from her hand. Though, upon closer inspection, she appeaered to be more than just a 'little girl' as she not only had a horn sticking out just above her forehead, but a pair of small white wings on her back. "What the heck do you think you're doing? Trying to melt the thing?!" The little girl yelled.
