Coed Facilities
School is supposed to be a safe place for children to get an education and socialize with their peers. Can you imagine taking the safety and security away from not one child, but millions of students from kindergarten through high school? Well it’s happening on January 1, 2014, public schools will be allowing coed bathrooms, locker rooms, and sports if not enough citizens sign a petition against this bill. I think coed facilities should NOT be allowed in schools because it will create opportunities for abuse and bullying to occur and religious values will be tainted.
Abuse is a serious problem in the world and is scarring to the victims emotionally and physically. Abuse happens all the time in this sick world, but allowing

This topic has already been dealt with so why allow coed facilities and sports to occur. It’s unwise. This law will invade all students privacy and cross many peoples’ personal boundaries by having to share facilities and sports with the opposite sex.
Children that have grown up in godly environments with certain values to not encourage the transgender lifestyle, will question why the sin of homosexuality is motivated and all other sin in unacceptable. This idea would especially be confusing to young kids because they follow what is taught to them. Kids will ask, “Why is this sin being encouraged? Is it okay to be gay? Why have my parents taught me differently?” It is a complicated subject to discuss between not only kids, but adults too. It’s because the world has made being gay socially acceptable. Being gay is not right! Just like all other sin is not okay. All sin is equal just with different consequences. God says to us, “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.” Eph. 2:10. God has put so much work into who we all are individually. He has made us the gender He wants us to be! We should keep it that way and be content with who we are.
Coed facilities and sports should not be acceptable. We have separate restrooms, locker rooms, and sports based on gender to give us privacy and safety. It would be foolish, on our part, to mix genders together when the Lord our God has
Abuse can happen anywhere anytime, but especially to vulnerable people, ie Children, elderly people, people with disabilities, people with learning difficulties. It can even happen in places people should be safe, ie hospitals, residential/ nursing homes, schools, daycare/ nurseries, centres etc.
Although hollywood movies are well known for their secular nature, The book of eli is an exception. The scenes in which Eli defends the Book(the bible) with his life was one of extreme conviction as a christian and equally thought provoking to non-believers. Through several memorable scenes, Eli begins to show Solara the power of the Bible – “not as a tool for conquest, but as a handbook for living”. Some Bible verses are quoted throughout the movie, and Christian imagery and symbolism are present in many scenes.
This article address suggested changes to Title IX of the Education Act of 1974 and to the interpretation of Title IX. The changes discussed are (1) a change to the method of college supported team funding, (2) the abolishment of the designation of “men’s sports” and “women’s sports” by replacing with the term and concept of “participant sports,” and (3) the inclusion of intersexed and transgendered / transsexual participants.
Every day children around the world are being abused by their parents, trusted adult, caregiver and peers. Children are constantly suffering when there are things that everyone as a community can do help them. Psychologists, social workers and the victims to childhood abuse have studied and worked together to establish precautionary measures to execute child abuse all together.
Abuse is a violation of a person’s civil and human rights. There are different types of abuse and they all set out to intentionally or unintentionally put a person at risk and cause harm. An individual may not disclose that the abuse is taking place due to fear, being aware of
There are many factors to consider that may contribute someone being abused, it may be there medical condition prevents them from being aware of the abuse and lack mental capacity, such as a mental illness and forms of dementia which prevent them of having any control and being isolated.
I think every single school should have a coed sports team in their sports program. If your school doesn't have a coed sports team; you should give a call to the school and the coach of that team. If your school does have a coed sport team support it. Tell all your friends to go to their games and buy stuff from them. Try to put your opinion online and give some details.
I, Nathan Addison, a student-athlete at Upper New England University stand in opposition to the president’s proposal to cut men teams. It’s essential for myself and others student-athletes to be academically proficient in the classrooms, before competing outside in our sport. I understand that Title IX protects against discrimination, but cutting the men’s team isn’t a great solution to create equal opportunity for men and women sports. By cutting men’s teams, the budget will be increased. Nothing states in Title IX or even in the policies that UNEU should reduce or cut men’s opportunities to be in Title IX compliant. There has to be common ground between male and women athletics in terms of what sports should be cut, kept, or funded. No
Maple Hills Elementary School (MHES), a K-8 school in a rural farming community in the Midwest, is facing a changing landscape involving culture, language, and traditional approaches to special education. Historically, the community was predominately White, with German and English heritage, native English speakers, and identify as Protestant Christians dating back generations. However, through two recent waves of immigration influx, the community’s diversity has broadened. The first wave brought transient immigrants from Mexico and the Dominican Republic who were drawn to farm work and construction. Many parents in these families had minimal previous formal schooling. The second wave of immigration brought physicians and other professional personnel when a large regional medical center was built. Alternatively, these families had quite high levels of formal schooling and worked middle and upper-middle class jobs. The Maple Hills’ historically homogenous community structure has ultimately been altered from the immigration waves.
There are many different types of abuse and individual cases of abuse usually involve a different combination of these different types.
No-one deserves to be abused, be that physically, emotionally or sexually and the same rules apply that no child or young person should be subjected to neglect. It is every child’s right to live without fear of harm or abuse.
There are many things in our society today that unfortunately go overlooked. One such thing that is overlooked is the number of children who are being abused. Unfortunately these children are going through life not knowing whether or not their parents will loose their temper and perhaps kill them. There are many types of child abuse, such as physical, sexual, and emotional. Physical abuse is physical injury as a result of punching, beating, kicking, biting, shaking, throwing, stabbing, choking, hitting, burning, or otherwise harming a child. Such injury is considered abuse regardless of whether the caretaker intended to hurt the child. Sexual abuse includes activities by a parent or caretaker such as fondling a child's genitals,
I believe some of the advocated who prohibit LGBT issues from being taught in school might be because, some parent does not want their kids, and any other children around theirs, exposed to LGBT related issues in school or been taught that its ok to be homosexual. Also, considering religion practices, many beliefs homosexuality is a sin. Some of them probably believe these students should not be taught about homosexuality in school.
Coed schools prepare kids for the workplace and real world. Carol Lynn Martin, an ASU school of social and family dynamics professeur and ACCES co-director of school relations states, “The cost of single-sex education is not only a burden on schools,
People may not be aware, but any one of their peers, friends, or neighbors may be victims of child abuse. Every day, someone experiences physical, emotional, neglect, and/or sexual abuse. Abuse can lead to death or injury for the rest of a victim's life, from either the perpetrator or themselves. In order to prevent child abuse society must: recognize the types of abuse, understand common causes of abuse, know the characteristics of abusers, and realize the effects abuse has, not just on the child, but on families and communities across the world.
