The American Revolution was one of the most vital events in American History lasting form 1775 to 1783, it effected the nation socially, economically and politically. The American Revolution brought upon many changes in America, and freedom of the nation. The Revolutionary War was a stepping stone to what we are as a nation today, it created both short and long-term effects on the world. When wanting to blame a certain side, the British politicians or the American agitators, several key points lead to one considering the British Politicians being at fault for the events that led up to and occurred during The American Revolution.
In Boston of 1772, Samuel Adams proposed to the citizens of Boston that they form the Committee of Correspondence to dispute the acts of Great Britain. This allowed patriots leaders from all colonies to have a sense of communication. “First, a right to life; Secondly, to liberty; Thirdly, to property; together with the right to support and defend them in the best manner they can.” (Adams-pg.417)This outlined the colonist’s right as men and as Christians. Adams tactics and efforts drove colonies to the border of The Revolutionary War and The Virginia House of Burgesses and other assemblies to create their own committees of correspondence.
Patrick Henry became a part of the First Continental Congress in 1774, and gave his famous speech “Give me liberty, or give me death” on March 23, 1775. In the speech, Henry conveyed the idea of Congress building
