Poetry is a form of expression
Poetry is a form of expression just like dance, art, or music. With all the descriptive words and rhythm in poetry. Poetry makes you feel certain ways just like dance art and music. It can make you feel happy, sad, scared and more.
According to “Dictionary. Com” the definition of poetry is, “the art of rhythmical composition, written or spoken, for exciting pleasure by beautiful, imaginative, or elevated thoughts.” The definition shows poetry is similar to art, music, and dance with the fact that it is art and rhythmic. And poetry, dance, art, and music also have the fact that they all evoke emotions in common.

When it uses words like “Lavender and Yellow”, “cleanliness”, And “immaculate”, it brings you right back to a warm summer day. And you can tell the writer is expressing themselves by writing about a place important to their heart and describing it so in depth.
Also, In “Untitled by Denrobia”, you can easily feel the expression of the darkness of the incoming storm. When it states “With a blanket of silence.” you feel the emotion of the poem, just like in the chorus in a song or a big jump in a dance or a bright streak of color in an art piece. The expression of these poems makes you feel like you are in these emotions when the poem states “ A cool wind blows in” I can feel that cool wind blowing in fear. In “This is just to say by William Carlos Williams” the author is expressing sorrow and guilt and it is made clear when the author states “Forgive me… They were so delicious...So sweet… And so cold.” If the author just stated “ I ate the plums, I'm sorry” It would not nearly be as interesting, And that's what makes this a form of expression. It takes what could be regular sentences and transforms them into something that from into a waterfall of words and emotions. When you write a plain sentence you read it, slightly analyze it and you're done. But with poetry you really look at it, you feel the words and emotions, you get pictures in your head of what the
