An interactive system of democratic-republican constitutionalism that preserves our freedoms and promotes our moral and material progress is what is needed in our political party platform. The ideal party combines the policies of all the four pre-existing political party, from sweeping financial reform that provides economic security for families, a broader strategic rebalancing of American foreign policy and the investment of clean air technologies. These policies allow a more efficient running government that would appeal to the people and allow a more prosperous future.
Howard Phillips founded the Constitution Party in 1992. This is the party of “Integrity, Liberty, and Prosperity.” Pillar one is Integrity. This says they will hold their party officers accountable for their conduct. They will be held to the highest ethical standards in dealing with the public, donors, government officials, and candidates. They say that corrupt candidates come from corrupt parties and honest and honorable candidates can only come from a party that insists that all its leaders have same characteristics. Pillar two is Liberty. They say that government is most ineffective, inefficient, and most expensive ways to get anything done. The solution is not to simply cut funding and abandon the people in need.
The two major parties of the United States’ government: republicans and democrats. While most people fall somewhere in between of the two parties’ ideas, the two have different stances on the biggest topics of the time. When looking at the two, one must also not confuse the two with the difference between conservatives and liberals even if they share the same philosophy. Republicans and democrats, conservatives and liberals, and the influence on third parties all have different values and effects on our political system. Economically wise, democrats find that there should be progressive taxation and a minimum wage should be established for labor (Democrats).
Republicans and Democrats also differ in fundamental societal and human ideals. Democrats gravitate towards policies that favor equality. Thus, the party strives for community empowerment and social responsibility. In contrast, Republicans support policies that promote freedom and their party fights for a person’s individual rights over the general public's best interest. This type of egotistical view must be subdued before a plethora of conservative policies are put into action
The Good Life party picked the name ‘The Good Life’ because we feel strongly that life must be preserved. While the government is doing what they can to keep people alive and safe, there are still some issues, like abortion, the death penalty, and guns, that if resolved, would keep more people alive. Humans are not God, and therefore we cannot make the decision about whether someone gets to live or die. For example, we are pro-life when it come to abortion. Every abortion takes away an innocent life. We are also against the death penalty because no crime is worthy of being sentenced to death. The Good Life is also pro gun control because with guns so easy to get, they can easily end up in the wrong hands, resulting in shootings, which causes
For many Americans today, a feeling of dismay and despair is present whenever a conservation turns towards the political races happening this year. To the average American, this election has become a mockery of the electoral system. Philosophy is being replaced with stupidity and knee-jerk reactions, and it seems as though the political parties’ cater to the lowest denomination of intelligence. At first, I thought that they had the potential to rebel but everything turned upside down. I realized that they cannot oppose the Party. The Party’s effective way of oppression affects their attitudes and keeps them away from the idea of rebellion. The proles are happy under the conditions of Big Brother and they are obedient to him. If a rebellion were to happen, they would need a leader to take them to a revolution because they are not smart enough to think for themselves and make a plan against Big Brother. They are good at obeying orders, so if there would be a great leader, that person could tell them what to do. The Party is aware of this situation that's why they take all the intelligent people into the Party. So, there would be no
In conclusion, both the Democratic and the Republican Parties have the interest and the wellbeing of the citizens at heart. Despite, the Republicans are known to be a much more conservative party on all issue; their ideology was the best for the American people in the sense that they believed their system was fair and benefited to every American. Again, the Republicans believe that people should be able to live in greater freedom and prosperity if they encourage and directed to the right path in their decisions. One unique thing their ideology is that despite numerous challenges and modifications, this ideology has been able to persist through over the years and shape the nation and government in various historic ways. The government’s rules are definitely not more important than morality. In this novel the Party completely cut out morality and replaced it with their ideas of how people should be treated, and what things are right and wrong. Throughout the novel technology is used in many unmoral ways. For example, the Party has telescreens to watch the people’s every move to make sure that they are not defying the Party, and they also have microphones placed in many places so they can monitor your conversations if there is not a telescreen there to watch you. This situation is not moral because it is not right to spy on people every minute of their life, people should be able to live freely without the worry of being caught by the thought police if their
After helping to correct errors in the documents by the Party, due to the result of a change in enemy, during the ninety-hour workweek, Winston was worn out. Winston takes the book, Goldstein’s The Theory and Practice of Oligarchical Collectivism, that he receive from O’brien, into the room over Mr. Charrington’s shop and begins to read. How the party change work was comprehensible by Winston, however what he does not understand was why did the party go through all the trouble to manipulate the people past .
In the stories, “The Stolen Party” by Liliana Heker and “Gaston” by William Saroyan, they may be about different things but they do share the same theme. Like “The Stolen Party” is about a poor girl who was invited to a rich persons party but ended up being the maid and not the guest, and “Gaston” is about a father who isn’t as rich as his ex-wife and is trying to win the heart of his 6 year old daughter but loses. Those were the differences of both the stories, but the theme they share is: if you seem to be different or are different, then you are most likely going to be treated different.
