When you think of a role model, who comes to mind? Many would say an actor, singer, athlete, etc. My role model is my sister, Natasha Hobley. For those who don’t know Natasha personally, they probably wouldn’t understand why she is a role model to me. However, I find her to be a role model for many reasons. Not only is Natasha strong, fearless, and independent, but she is the most loving person I have ever met. Regardless of the trials that have been thrown at her, she always comes out on top, and stronger than before. Natasha has unfortunately lost loved ones in her life, but still manages to find happiness in the darkest situations. Despite battling mental and emotional battles, my sister continues to find the best in situations, and always uplifts others. Ever since I was a child, I remember looking up to her and always wanting to be just like her. Natasha Hobley is my role model.
The next one, character, is rooted in doing the right thing. My work as Key Club treasurer, for example, takes honesty and a good work ethic. One part of my goals is to maintain a high moral standard, both in and out of work.
The definition of a role model is a person whose behaviour, example or success can be emulated by others, especially young people. Their values, actions and behaviours are upheld as an ideal and to be desired. Being a role model may not be taken in its entirety. It can be broken down allowing a person to be a role model in one area and not another. Being a manager is not a guarantee to be a role model. Good leaders will model behaviours that encourage employees to endorse organisational goals and objectives. By modelling the behaviours you find desirable and that will help reach company gaols others will also begin to model said behaviours.
An effective leader must be able to uphold their values against adversity, adapt and overcome, and act in the best interest of their Soldiers. The excerpt “I know my Soldiers and I will always place their needs above my own” from the NCO Creed really speaks to what a leader is. Authenticity is key – showing subordinates and peers that you are not without fault and that just because you are in a leadership position does not mean you cannot learn from others. Leaders with this mentality increase trust and morale in their respective units; thus increasing work productivity and giving their subordinates a greater sense of job satisfaction.
iii. Your work world and personal values are aligned and you are fueled with intensity and passion.
Leadership is defined as ‘the process in which an individual influences the group of individuals to attain a common goal’. The goal is attained by mutual cooperation and cohesive behavior. A leader infuses a sense of positivity and directs others to reach the specified goal. Therefore for a person to be a successful leader they need to work hard to accomplish their goal and influence others to do the same. For greatest success and communication with their hierarchy they must be trustworthy and responsible. In addition, the person needs to be nice and approachable so that they can interact with others and are as approachable as possible. Although a leader must be approachable they still need to

"It's not how many times you get knocked down that count, it's how many times you get back up." George A. Custer, U.S. Military. This quote has many meanings in life it could mean fighting for what is right, it could be about the topic that I have chosen to do which is sport, but I am going to take the angle that it is about striving for goodness. If your going to talk about striving for goodness you need to talk about free will which is defined as by google "the ability to act at one's own discretion". You also have to talk about sin which is defined as by google "an immoral act considered to be a transgression against divine law".

Leadership is defined as the ability to accomplish a set goal(s) due to the act of inspiring and motivating a group of your peers. Former United States president Dwight D. Strengthen the good times, have diversity, teamwork, and change the bad things. Become the culture itself. Let your employees know what they are in for. Without role models in this world we would have nobody to strive to be like. Role models give the people learning the keys to success they lead and guide the people so they can make the right decisions. John Quincy Adams once said, "If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader." This quote causes me to believe that a leader is not necessarily a director, they can be simply a person that is inspiring to be around. Some people may not even know that they are considered as leaders. I do know that I am considered as a role model by my peers. Being considered as a role model is an honor, that takes hard work, and a lot of patience. I achieved this honor by having the character and nature of a servant. The impacts that I have made with my character in school, at work, and in my community will enable me to be able to make a difference in college and beyond.
