Both Kane and Rainsford are brave. "No, General," Rainsford said. " I will not hunt" (Connell 225). Just the fact that Rainsford talked back to the murderer named General Zaroff is astonishing. He was so brave and courageous to stand up for himself and disagree to do something that he was going to be forced to do. The same goes for Will Kane and the next quote shows this. " It's no good, I've got to go back, Amy" ("The Elements Of Drama"). " No. That's what I've been thinking. They're making me run. I never run from anybody before" ("The Elements Of Drama"). Will Kane is saying that he does not want to run away from his problems, he would rather face them. This makes him brave like Rainsford. They both protect themselves well and try to avoid death.
