Bottega Veneta was established in 1966 by Michele Taddei and Renzo Zengiaro in Vicenza. The name Bottega Veneta means “Venetian shop” in Italian. Bottega Veneta prided themselves on craftsmanship. They developed a leather weaving technique called intrecciato that remains a signature of the brand. In the beginning of the 1970s, Bottega Veneta built its reputation around the irreproachable quality of their work and advertising with the tag line “When your own initials are enough" - the discretion of their designs. The motto “When your own initials are enough” conveys a concept of individuality and confidence that now applies to women and men’s leather goods, ready-to-wear, shoes, jewellery, furniture and more. By the early 1980s, Bottega Veneta …show more content…
He started with the removal of all visible logos from the brand’s products, made the signature intrecciato weave a prominent feature on all leather goods and took the brand’s focus solely back to artisanal production. Tomas Maier is the creative talent behind the renaissance of Bottega Veneta. With its re-found fame, the fashion house released a women's ready-to-wear line in 2005, and a men's line in 2006 in parallel with their international expansion plan which had begun in 2002. In April 2006, Bottega Veneta launched its first jewelry line, and branched out into interiors and furniture design. In summer 2006, recognizing the importance of craftsmanship and the fragility of this traditional way of life, Bottega Veneta opened a school to train and support future generations of leather craftsmen. The label received the ultimate recognition from the Luxury Institute of New York who chose Bottega Veneta as the most prestigious design house for the richest women of the United States in 2006. In 2011, the Italian house launched its first fragrance simply named Bottega Veneta and chose the daughter of Inès de la Fressange, Nine d'Urso, to front the

Most American citizens would agree that modern medicine has drastically changed American Society. The progression of medicine has impacted American lives in multiple ways. It has changed how the United States military uses medicine, how American scientists research medicine, and how everyday American citizens use medicine. Just 100 years ago, the people of the time period would not have been able to comprehend the medical advances that today’s society experiences, and what postmodern societies will continue to experience. Over time, the progression of medicine affected American soldiers during times of war, changed how diseases were discovered and treated, and impacted the way 21st century Americans view medicine and medical professionals.
As two separate companies, they have established a different approach towards the market, however with the right research and evaluation, Rousteing and The Bay have beautifully managed to make both sides collide with success. They have managed to design ready-to-wear for different target groups, for example, women’s outerwear shoes, men’s business attire, jewellery, as well as the latest Balmain Army collection inspired by Rousteing himself. They have made the price range of the products in the listed categories reasonable and affordable for premium quality clothing, accessories and footwear for both genders that are quality and price conscious. Also, in Toronto and Vancouver, The Bay has launched a showroom called “The Room” that features some of Balmain’s hottest but not-so-retail-friendly designer clothing from Rousteing’s runway collection. With the stratospheric prices, these items are obviously in display for the more sophisticated young female adults that completely disregard the price tag when they see something they genuinely adore. However, this was also an intelligent way for Rousteing and The Bay to promote their collection by giving the people of middle-class families to feel and take a closer glimpse of some high-quality handiwork. This makes the women of the demographic target market want to know what else Balmain has in store at The Bay, that is of similar quality, but with a more affordable
Fashion has been around ever since ancient times, since the time of the Romans, it survived the world wars and is yet today a business with rapid changes. Fashion started off as an art form, a way for the riches to show their social status with unique and innovative designs that only they could afford. It was a way to separate the social classes of the society. In this paper I will include the creator of haute couture, and how the following designers developed couture, as well as having leading names in today’s ready-to-wear industry. The list is long, but I chose to focus on the three most important designers of the modern fashion industry.
Haute couture, which in English mean ‘high sewing’ has a long and cherished history, particularly in Europe. Paris has long been an international core of fashion design. Charles Worth opened the first of the great Parisian couture houses in 1858. The city has created many significant design houses, such as Chanel, Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, Chloé, Givenchy, Lanvin, Céline, Hermès, and Louis Vuitton. To this day, Paris remains a prominent destination for shopping, from these designers. Paris is the primary home of haute couture, and has long set the course in fashion in Europe and around the world. The city is generally considered to be part of the "big four" global fashion capitals, alongside Milan, London and New York City. We can see how much people appreciate French fashion from designer clothes to designer shoes which really help develop economic growth of a country. In its beginnings, Paris' culinary development are indebted much to the 19th-century organization of a railway system that had Paris as a center, making the capital a focal point for passage from France's many different regions and gastronomical cultures. France's regions have provided exclusive cuisines, much like regional varieties of wine. Paris restaurants display this miscellany, with menus carrying typical territorial cuisine, fusions of diverse culinary
With regard to the problem of the lack of a creative director, we suggest a variety of solutions. Firstly, considering that the coordination of six designers have a vital importance in order to give compactness and homogeneity to the collections, the presence of a creative director is essential. Given the increasingly influential economic crisis , we realize that hiring a new creative director can be a huge responsibility, so we think it could be useful to make each new collection in collaboration with a famous designer from the world of luxury, as other fashion companies do. In fact, by hiring a designer who is well known and recognizable - by all types of customers in every country - not just the

No other New York gangster in the twentieth century matched the capabilities of the sinister, crafty, powerful, and secretive Charles “Lucky” Luciano. Who with the help of his closest friends and allies, even enemies, established the National Crime Syndicate in the early 1930s, which still remains today (Nash 251). Lucky Luciano, the “true” American gangster, rewrote the rules of the Italian Mafia, under control of old-line Sicilian rule, and created an organization open to all ethnic backgrounds (Dewey). He worked his way from being a struggling messenger for a small gang, to eventually becoming the “Capo di Tutti Capi”(the Boss of All Bosses), the highest ranking in the Mafia (Dewey). During his reign,

Botulism is a rare but very serious paralytic illness that is caused by botulinum toxin(potentially deadly neurotoxin) which is produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. The botulinum toxin can enter the body in 3 main ways: by the ingestion of the toxin from eating foods that contain the botulism toxin (food borne botulism), by the contamination of a wound by the bacterium in which the toxin is produced (wound botulism) and Infant botulism which is caused by consuming the spores of the botulinum bacteria, which then grow in the intestines and release the toxin. The powerful exotoxin (botulinum toxin) leads to secretory diarrhea. All forms of botulism can be fatal and are therefore considered to be
