Examining research problem using qualitative methodology are basically non-numerical and show great diversity. It involves any form of human communication which could either be written, audio or visual. The qualitative methodology used in solving problems, or explaining what actually happened. However, using qualitative methods to examine the research problem involves two activities: developing an awareness of the types of data can be described and explained; and also the practical activities that assist with the kinds of data and the large amounts of it that needs to be examined (Gibbs, 2007). This leads to employees quitting from the job. Another source of conflict exists between employees; arguments and competition for promotion, position and performance being the causes. Employees resigning from jobs in large numbers could lead to lower productivity and bad organizational reputation in most situations. Conflicts are critical part of human relationship; many organizations have devised methods to resolve them in a manner that maintains cohesion, economic stability in order to minimize negative outcomes which are certain for employees unless the conflicts between them and management are successfully managed through resolutions. With this in mind, it is worth noting that employees and management of various organizations have stressed the need for fast decisions that will encourage or support good personal relationship among people. Conflict varies and come in different forms. In the organizational setting, it comes through job retention or desires to be met, employer/employee disagreements and settlement, confidentiality reports and information sharing; all these leads to change in feeling and attitude. Leaders frequently face situations where conflict arises in the workplace and they’re called upon to resolve the situation. Although conflict is not generally regarded as a positive experience it actually can be a key opportunity to create change that will reduce friction in the workplace. We can begin to defuse conflict by understanding what it is and implementing some practical strategies to manage it.
A second reason why qualitative method is appropriate for investigating this question is that it gives the researcher the opportunity to serve as instrument for collecting data either by examining previous or current documents on the issue, observing the behaviour of participants or by interviewing the Creswell (2009, pp.175-6). This points out that the researcher is immersed and in direct contact during the data collection.

The need for managers to have better leadership and management skills to handle their complex responsibilities is well recognized. The foundation of conflict management centers on communication techniques including transparent communication, open discussion, active listening and timing of intervention. This case analyzes the cause of conflicts, reviews techniques of conflict management, and discusses specific management styles such as: avoidance, competition, accommodation, compromise, and collaboration.

These articles are about conflict management styles in various organizations using Nigeria as a case study. The authors Kaban & Conar (2012) wrote this article “Conflict Management and Visionary Leadership” to find efficient conflict measures to resolve conflict without harming institution targets and activities. Prause and Mujtab (2015) looked into the current “Current Management Practice in diverse workplace” with the purpose of finding best conflict management style. Rahim (2002) researched on “Toward a Theory of Managing Organizational Conflict”. Alabi (2010) studied “Management of Conflicts and Crises in Nigeria: Education Planner’s View” while Akintayo (2012) researched on the “Influence of Management Style on Conflict Effectiveness in Work Organization South-Western Nigeria” with the purpose of ascertaining the relative impact of managerial strategy on conflict resolution effectiveness towards ensuring sustainable organizational peace. However, each of the authors presents a conflict style to control crises in the organization.
One of the major concerns for any organization is the ability of each member to maintain a positive, constructive working relationship with other individuals. Inevitably conflicts between members within the organization will occur leading to the need for applicable and effective conflict resolution policies. Phenomenology is often referred to in a variety of terms e.g. Constructivism, Interpretivism, Naturalistic Inquiry, Qualitative Enquiry, Ethnographic, Post Positivism, Hermeneutics and Humanism (Young, 2005 in Robson, 1983 and Easterby-Smith et. al., 1991). Table 1 summarises the key differences between the two perspectives.
As a research method, this study applies qualitative research which denotes to studying things in their natural settings, attempting to make sense of or interpret phenomena in terms of the meanings people bring to them. It means that the research involves the studied usage and collection of a range of empirical materials which portray routine and problematic moments and meaning in individual’s lives (Denzin and Lincoln, 2011: 3-4). Therefore, the role of fieldwork through a long-term interaction with relevant respondents is very beneficial in the qualitative research in order to earn multiple perspectives (Glesne and Peshkin, 1992: 6). This method is the only way of establishing the validity of findings from field research. It can provide a deeper understanding regarding social phenomena than would be obtained from purely quantitative data (Silverman, 2001: 32).
Qualitative research is exact research where the information is not as numbers. Qualitative researchers study things in their natural settings, make sense of, or interpreting information. My research paper is about children with mental health illnesses. Qualitative research on my paper would be the research that I found that on my topic from creditable sites that consisted of data with no numbers included.
