Attention to Nicholas Carr and his argument about technology it’s destroying our brains and affecting the world, the new generation and everyone. In recent discussions of the shallows, a controversial issue has been whether the internet is truly affecting us or not. On the other hand, however, others argue that the internet is making them more creative and some say it’s making them smarter. The best point in view on this issue, is reflected by Nicholas Carr in his book The Shallows when he writes, “ The price we pay to assume technology’s power is alienation.” ( Carr,211). The history of technology goes back to a long time ago, basically as long as people have been around. There are 3 kind of ages; mechanical, electromechanical, electronic. The mechanical age is when we first start to see connections between our current technology and its ancestors.Example; when new phones were discovered ( iphone, samsung ...etc) and our parents and grandparents use those small phones. The electromechanical is the new technology been discovered compared to our modern world technology. Example; samsung S2 to the samsung S4. The electronic is the age we live now, a lot of discoverers has been created and still their discovering. All these discoverers impact my opinion to that all these technology is affecting people worldwide. Michael Merzenich discussed that how much people are trying to live without the internet it’s hard for them to live without. He said that “ Their heavy use has neurological consequences.” How much we spend on the internet has plenty of consequences even if we don’t feel it now it’s going to get to a point that we will regret it, like i said before it causes plenty of problems from addiction, depression and plenty …show more content…

She argues that “One of the reasons people are interested in video games and related technologies is because they put you into words where you have to solve problems.” She is totally right because people enjoy games and other technologies to solve all their problems and wasting time to full boredom. Other expert argues that “Learning in a connected, technology-rich environment enables young people to undertake meaningful experiences as they engage with peers, celebrates, relatives, and experts worldwide.” I agree with him learning new things on technology that we don’t know and communicating with the world and getting to know new people is a good thing.
