What are the factors that contributed to the success and failure of Steve Jobs as a technopreneur?

Despite being dropped out of college Steve Jobs still managed to be one of the most important and successful technopreneur the world has ever seen, some may even say that he was the father of all technopreneurs. But it was not all bread and butter for Jobs in fact it was more like a roller coaster ride with constant up’s and down’s.

Even though Jobs came up with the idea of Apple he alone was not responsible for its creation. It all started when Jobs was working for Atari and he was assigned to work on circuit boards. Since he could not get the job done he called upon his trusted friend Steve Wozniak also known as “Woz”, Woz worked on the circuit boards and they agreed to split the profit. After getting paid Jobs went to his house to pay him and that’s when he stumbled upon Woz’s little hobby, he was working on a prototype that would display characters on a TV screen generated by a home computer. …show more content…

So they took this prototype to a computer club and managed to get attention of a computer shop owner named Paul Terrell, Paul ordered 50 circuit boards from Jobs and Woz. Knowing the difficulty of completing the task in given time Jobs recruited his friends from college and neighborhood to work on the system board. Working in his father’s garage, it was then that they came up with the name Apple and printed it on the circuit boards.
