Description
The Super Bowl is an American football game that is played on a Sunday. The game is usually on the last Sunday in January or the first Sunday in February. Super Bowl Sunday is viewed by millions of Americans. The location of the game is determined by the NFL three to five years in advance. Many cities place a bid to host the Super Bowl, then the city is evaluated on ability to host the game. When choosing the destination weather is also considered. In the past, the game has taken place in Miami ten times, nine times in New Orleans, seven times in LA and four times in Tampa. Also, the home team is based on the rotational basis with odd number games, therefore they will be able to call the coin toss.
There are various communication phases exhausted to create a memorable event such as the Super Bowl. Top companies produce an advertisement to either make fans laugh, cry, or just have an emotional reaction. There are over 50 ads shown during the game. Not only are commercials used to promote the game, but also celebrity names are used. Last year’s super bowl performer was Beyoncé. Getting the word out that Beyoncé was performing increased the number of viewers. Before her performance, she dropped a powerful music video that also made the crowd go wild. With each performance lights, smoke, music, and hype are used to create this experience.
Interpretation
The 8-year media deals that the NFL did with ABC, CBS, FOX, ESPN, and Direct TV in January 1998 are worth $17.6 billion. It has fewer games than any other professional sport, but takes in the most money by far. To ABC, broadcasting Monday Night Football for eight seasons was worth $4.4 billion ($550 million per year). CBS agreed to pay $4 billion ($500 million per season) for exclusive rights to AFC games. FOX also agreed $4.4 billion for the right of NFC games. ESPN agreed to pay $4.8 billion ($600 million per year) for Sunday night
The NFL has become the most popular sport in the United States. It is watched my millions every weekend. The NFL is only growing in popularity. With new fans joining the fun every day. The NFL has faced its share of problems too. With concussions scaring away many future players, the NFL is hoping to lower the possibility of concussions in the future. Each NFL team plays a total of 16 games over a span of 17 weeks. There are two conferences in the NFL, the AFC and the NFC. There are four divisions in each conference, each with 4 teams. The playoff teams are decided by the division rankings. The winner of each division makes the playoffs, with the two best 2nd place teams making it in as a wild card.

Over the past little while I have researched and learned quite a bit about the NFL and fan to fan, I'd like to share with you my findings. First off, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Robbie Wolanski, proud fan of the Green Bay Packers, and avid football fan. I'm sure that when most of you think about the NFL you think about watching your team on Sunday, big hits, and Tom Brady. Let me give you something else to think about. Is the NFL a perfect corporation? Do they have any issues? Today I will be answering this and going into detail about the NFL.
We see injuries in pretty much every sport now a days. People refuse to let their children play sports because they are worried of them getting hurt. Football is one of those sports that have to deal with injuries on a daily basis. Football as a sport is highly praised in the United States. People truly love not only playing the game but also watching the college players and the professionals. The game of football first originated on November 6, 1869. It was actually two universities—Rutgers and Princeton—that made up the first college football game. The first NFL game was played on December 18, 1932. Football has clearly been around for a really long time and there seems to be no sign of the sport slowing down.
When reviewing Rasmussen’s policies on academic integrity, a exceptionally important step is to ensure that each student is informed as well as equipped to take on the assignments that are asked of them. As the instructor, expectations must be communicated in a clear, understandable, and attainable manner. Additionally, resources are made available to help students meet these expectations.
In Joshua Keating’s essay “If It Happened There: In Brutal Contest of Strength and Strategy, a Culture Is Revealed” published on Slate.com in January 2014, the author utilizes polarizing diction, juxtaposition, pedantic diction, and synecdoche to achieve the purpose of showing that the Super Bowl is a tradition that unifies American Society.
The Super Bowl is one of the most exciting events of the entire year. Each year, fans spend hundreds of dollars to be able to travel to the city is hosting the Super Bowl and even more money
Imagine nowadays if Tom Brady led that year’s Super Bowl champions, New England Patriots, against the brightest athletes of tomorrow, such as Jamesis Winston, Melvin Gordon, and Amari Cooper in a game to determine the better squad. That dream used to a reality back in the early days of the emerging National Football League. This summer classic would pit the defending champions of the NFL the previous year and the best stars of college football and was held as the very first game to wet fan’s football appetite and serve as a highly respected charitable event. First started in 1934, it served as one of the first kinds of All-Star showdowns ever established. Chicago’s historic Solider Field served as the game’s annual venue until the game was
In 2009, arguably one of the best Super Bowl was played in Tampa, Florida. This game featured the AFC champions Steelers and the NFC champions Cardinals, in which the Steelers prevailed 27-23. As any football fan could tell you the score of this game was not a low one at all. For the cardinals to put up 23 against the Steelers number one defense was shocking. Even more stunning, was to see the Steelers offense generate enough offense to put up 27 point. The Steelers offensive game had been struggling throughout the season, but their hard hitting, alert defense made up for it. Yet, this game is no joke a tam cannot win if any part of their game is slacking. Knowing this the Steelers came out ready to play. This game wasn’t just a high scoring
NFL is the highest level of professional American football in United States. There are 32 teams at any time playing for NFL. Although NFL hosts several games all round the year but Super Bowl is undoubtedly the most popular game of the year. It is the champion ship game

The super Bowl is an American sports event i.e. enjoyed the most byamerican people. American Super Bowl sometimes becomes very dangerous for players as it involves greater chances of accidents. In the year 1998, Terrell Davis a player from Denver Broncos, got injured and fainted in the field while carrying the Super Bowl in his hand (Walker 72). This incident led to several complications and the player finally recovered completely after a good amount of time.
