There are many different kinds of relationships, and all of them require a commitment and an understanding between people. There are ties of friendship, relationships with family, those that we have with co-workers, and there are relationships in which two people are romantically involved. Regardless of the type of relationship, the desires are the same, to have perfect harmony between all connected. However, since we are human, a perfect relationship usually does not exist. When relationships are broken, or venture upon rocky seas, there comes a time when a person must decide if the union is important enough to work on mending the relationship.

It takes more than words to create a safe, exciting and secure relationship. Too often the signals we send are not those we intend to send. When this happens, both connection and trust are lost in our relationships.

Over a person's lifetime, they will develop thousands of relationships; some romantic, or business based. Relationships are what allow people to strive for excellence, what allow people to fulfill their need for social interactions. Being in a relationship, I noticed that communication is key. However, there are other numerous factors that play a substantial role in the relationship. I believe in three simple things.

However, it takes commitment on both sides and both parties have to be willing to keep the relationship working. In a relationship, it is important for a couple to discuss self-disclosure to each other; such as, religious beliefs, hobbies, ideas, and goals. It is also important to take these findings seriously and to be honest about them because it will have an impact on how they live their lives together. If a couple does not agree with one another, it’s best to be honest about it because when they are not, it will cause their future together to spiral downward. Also, friends and lover earned the trust from us by staying with us, by telling us the truth.
