The tourism industry has been growing rapindly over the years so much that it is regarded by many as a possible generator of significant economic activities in many parts of the world’s economy and the youth are not likely to benefit from realization of the potential unless they are directly or indirectly involved in its activities in the form of proprietors or shareholders.
At the moment, one of the major challenges facing the tourism industry is the lack of meaningful participation of US citizens in New York. A current problem that has to be tackled is the leakage of tourism revenues, whereby most of the money for packages to US is paid outside the State and does not benefit the youth.
