Dale S. Beach defines training as “the organized procedure by which people learn knowledge and/or skill for a definite purpose”.
Training is one of the important parts of human resources management. Training helps employees to acquire job related knowledge, develop skills and abilities with the goal of applying these on the job.
A training process may differ in from formal classes or one on one mentoring, and it may take place on the job or at remote locations. No matter what its form, training can benefit the organization when it is linked to organizational needs and when it motivates employees (Noe, 2014).
Needs Assessment: The training process in organization starts with the need assessment in the organization asses the context in which training will occur, on the next step they analyze the group or individual who needs training and then they analyze the subject on which the training should cover.
Methods of Training:
There are different methods for the training in organization. These training includes instructor led classroom, this method is applied by the 47% of the organizations. Then there is online based training which only 19% of the organizations apply (Noe, 2014).
