Because people may not understand the problems that they have and may think that
The person is just being rude for example somebody who is autistic there behaviour
Could be mistaken this way if you were unaware of the condition which could lead
To them being shouted at and that could make the behaviour worse in the long term

2.1

If there were suspicions that someone was being abused I would follow the companies
Safeguarding procedures to make sure the person in question was taken out of harms way then you may need to contact outside organizations that may need to be involved such as social services the police or key workers that work with the individual. So
That they are aware of your suspicions and it is on file if anything else comes to light at a later stage.

2.2

If there was a direct allegation that someone had been abused the actions you would have to take would be firstly make sure they are safe and not in any immediate danger
You would need to stay calm in this situation even if what they are they are telling you was upsetting.

Then you would need to reassure them that you are taking what they are telling you
Seriously comfort them so that they feel safe and will talk to you openly and that you are not there to judge them or accuse them of lying.
