ABSTRACT
The increasing demands of energy and oil, insecure energy resources and emission of hazardous gases have attracted the attention of the whole world towards renewable energy. In the world, at this time the future of energy is concentrated much amount on renewable energy sources as the fossil fuels are decreasing and becoming costly day by day. This proposes very simple, low cost, high reliable, photovoltaic monitoring system. Lab-view is a virtual programming code. So we can write simple codes in programming them to do assigned task for it. The time taken for writing code in a lab view is very less compared to the MATLAB and SIMULINK. In this project, we will monitor the data of PV solar cell using Lab VIEW software. First of all, solar radiation will come on solar cell. Next, charge will controlled by charge controller and also save the battery from overcharging. Then, from the battery, given sensor will sense the parameter of solar cell. The sensed data will be given to Lab-view software in this project.

1.1 PROBLEM SUMMARY AND INTRODCTION
1.1.1 Problem summary
India is the seventh largest nation with an area of 3.287 million km2. Moreover, it is a relatively rich and rapidly developing country; for this reason demand for electricity is growing on significantly average at around 5% annually. In addition, one of the most fascinating aspects of solar cells is their ability to convert the most abundant and free forms of energy into electricity
Commonly, renewable energy is defined as energy which is able to be captured from existing natural resources that are replenished rapidly, such as flowing water, sunshine, wind, geothermal heat flows and ocean [2]. Renewable energy technologies are required to provide technologies to use one or several renewable energy resources. There are some different types of renewable energy technologies, which include solar energy, bioenergy, hydropower, wind energy, geothermal energy and tidal energy. This thesis project will focus on the solar photovoltaic which is currently one of types of solar energy technologies, and this technology using photovoltaic cells to converts sunlight directly into electricity.Solar photovoltaic system can generate electricity from sunlight through using PV modules, and the system can be integrated into building designs, installed on rooftops, or large scale power plant. With the development of photovoltaic technologies, solar photovoltaic capacity has been increased from 3.7 GW (2004) to 177GW (2014) [3]. Figure 2 shows this change from 2004 to 2014, there is a big trend of increase in these years. The increase of PV capacity can reduce the carbon emission and provides more job opportunities. It also helps to reduce air pollution and make a friendly environment for living. One of the common PV system is
This indicates that India’s future energy requirements are going to be very high and solar energy can be one of the efficient and eco-friendly ways to meet the same.
The ability to generate electricity from sunlight is a relatively new and exciting technology that offers many new opportunities in generating ‘green’ electricity. This technology is called solar photovoltaics or more simply, PV. PV offers the ability to generate electricity in a clean, quiet and renewable way. It makes use of the abundant energy from the sun, to generate electricity without the production of
As solar power take an more and more important roll in today’s world, we need to know this clear resource and understand how to use it. In this paper, we will discuss about solar energy, it’s application in real life, solar panel, two kinds of solar farm, PV cell and converter.
Photovoltaic cell is of grate impart in the Morden market of electrical generating sector, commonly used by industries and private home etc. as a source of electricity , which have been of existence since , 1950s ‘Inventors at Bell Labs (Daryl Chapin, Calvin Fuller, and Gerald Pearson) developed a more efficient PV cell (6%)
The limited resources of non-renewable energy and the fluctuation of fuel price have forced the world to find clean and economical natural energy resources by means of renewable energy. Solar energy is a sustainable alternative option that can be utilized in various ways and can be used in many applications.
This project tests the efficiency of solar cells based on temperature, light intensity, and color variation. Each different variable will be tested together and
With the evolution of society, the necessity of alternative energy sources, that suit in what sustainable development requires is more evident throughout the years. Since the reduction of the emission of gases that cause the greenhouse effect, for example, is an important factor. The sun is the planet’s primary energy. It is responsible for practically all of the observable natural processes. Thus, nowadays, technologies that have the sun as a source have been considered, studied and utilized. The photovoltaic technologies are an example of how it is practicable to obtain energy from the sun. These TECHNOLOGIES have been developed throughout the years and it is one of the main hopes of clean and renewable energy
In recent technology advancements, worldwide nations are looking to increase the usage of renewable electricity, displacing the use of grid-provided power to reduce carbon dioxide emissions, and also make contributions to the remedy of climate degradation. The rapid increase in fossil gasoline costs, solar energy is becoming an attractive alternative for powering communication structures and its utilization has more preference with regards to powering gadget in space or faraway regions wherein grid power is not available, or its availability is too expensive. As an electricity supply, solar photovoltaic systems are particularly dependable and incur minimal preservations.
The choice of right type of converters for the different requirement in specific application has great influence on the optimum performance of the photovoltaic system. In last two decades, enormous developments have been taken place in the area of solar PV power generation. A large number of research publications in these areas have led to this persuasion of a critical review of the available literature. In particular, many inverter topologies have been introduced to incorporate several unique features, such as a) intrinsic boost capabilities, b) isolation, c) high efficiency, d) good power decoupling, e) dual grounding function, f) single stage solar power conversion capabilities, g) compact design and h) good power quality, for both
The renewable sources of power in India still constitute a small portion of the entire power production of the country, with the total installed capacity of 32,000 MW (which is about 12% of the total installed capacity). Out of the total installed capacity, solar energy constitutes about 10 % (3200 MW). The solar potential of the country is huge. It is estimated that about 12.5 % of India’s landmass, which is about 413,000 square kilometers, can be exploited to harness solar energy. The country on an average enjoys 300 sunny days with an average hourly solar radiation of about 200 MW/square kilometer. The major recent initiative in the solar space is the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission (JNNSM) launched in 2010 by the Central
Abstract—In today’s fast growing world with lots of technological developments we are suffering from many problems among which energy crisis is the most significant one. With the limited amount of conventional sources of energy like coal, petroleum, natural gas available which creates a lot of pollution too, we are in a great danger of complete depletion of these resources. As an alternative solar energy has a huge potential to meet the ever growing demands of human race. Solar cells are used to convert sun’s energy into electrical energy. Solar panels are group of solar cells but solar cells in itself are not very efficient, therefore to increase their efficiency solar tracking system is used to track the direction of sun. In this paper we have described the design of an automatic solar tracker using microcontroller. We have effectively used photoresistor or light dependent resistor as the sensor of solar tracker and the stepper motor for the movement of solar panel. More energy is produced in solar tracking system because solar array is always in perpendicular direction to sun rays.
Abstract: The current energy situation with fossil fuels as the main source of the world’s energy has two main flaws: fossil fuels contribute to global warming via the greenhouse effect and they are limited in the quantity that remains. Solar power solves both of these problems and can be captured by utilizing photovoltaic cells. However, photovoltaic cells have their own drawbacks due to their high costs of installation and maintenance.

The Indian solar PV market has seen significant growth with the installed solar PV capacity, rising from 40 MW to more than 3,000 MW in the last four years. It is also expected that the distributed generation (rooftop Solar PV) at the consumer end will drive solar power capacity additions given the acute power shortages in several states.
