Technology is "the use of scientific knowledge for practical purposes or applications, especially in an industry" or in our everyday lives. Technology usually involves in using an equipment and that equipment can be very simple or very complicated to deal with. There are countless sources of technology available to us along with multiple variations being created. Since the nineteenth century to present day, the creation of technology has dramatically increased and improved. There are technical devices for almost everything, currently, our society is living off of technology, due to that fact that it makes any frequent task more convenient and effortless. Since the invention of the first mechanical computer designed by Charles Babbage in 1822, our society that we know today has come to be.
In 1936 Alan Turing, an English mathematical and a logician created the “Turing machine” (Copeland, 2000) which was originally created for the purpose a mathematical tool, it represented a computing device that contained a read/write head or a scanner with a paper tape passing through it. At the time of the World War II, things were very different, they needed something or some technology to strategize and make plans which could help them through their war. In 1941 a computer called the Z3 was developed by a German engineer named Konrad Zuse, which was used for aerodynamic calculations as designing airplanes and missiles for the war. The Z3 was “the world’s first programmable automatic computer” (“First generations computers,” 2007). The Z3 used 2,300 relays and was operated on a 22-bit word length at a 5-10 Hz clock frequency. However, in 1943, the Z3 was destroyed in a bombing raid in Berlin, but Zuse did not stop there.
