Weight loss motivation is the foundation of all weight loss success stories for women. Losing weight, and keeping it off, entails more than just following a diet. Making significant changes in your eating habits means giving up a lot of foods that may taste great, but have no nutritional value. Steeling yourself to the task of making healthy food selections to lose belly fat and thigh fat can only carry you so far. Weight loss motivation takes on different forms as you move to create a more positive lifestyle. I'll cover the stages that help you make sensible choices to stimulate healthy weight loss.

First, start thinking like a slim person. Many overweight women daydream about how delicious and satisfying a rich, high-fat, high-carb snack will taste when they bite into it. A slim person, however, often has flashes of how bloated and heavy they will feel with the same snack just sitting in their stomach.
Second, educate yourself to eat consciously. Be keenly aware of what you are putting in your mouth at all times. Know what foods function to provide lasting energy and help increase your metabolism naturally...and what foods just taste delicious, but are easily converted into fat on your waist and hips. Congratulate yourself for not eating carelessly and mindlessly.
Third, making friends with slender, fit people who practice positive lifestyle habits has been demonstrated by research to help women write their own weight loss success story. In 2007, the New England Journal of Medicine published findings that weight gain can be contagious in tight social networks.
By no means does this mean to shun and completely disengage from overweight friends who do not share your fat loss goals, but expanding your support network to include new friends that are following the path you wish to stay on. Weight loss motivation can be extrinsic as well as intrinsic.
Fourth, know that losing weight is not linear...meaning that you may lose three pounds a week for a month when you start a new program
Eat only when hungry and do not over eat. Overeating is one of the main problems people have when trying to maintain a healthy weight. If a person eats in moderation, he or she can enjoy any type of food, even sweets as long as it is in portioned size. Eating when hungry and stopping
There is a goal that I have been trying to achieve since for as long as I have been aware of my body. Sometimes I succeed, most of the time I don’t. I have many goals, they always grow and change along with me while I grow and change, but there is one goal that seems to stay consistent, and I have no doubt that it is one that I will continue to have late into womanhood. I, like many, always want to shed the pounds. Losing weight has been difficult for me, something I assumed would happen observing the women in my family. On the other hand, gaining weight seemed to happen every time I breathed around food.
Recently I have been motivated by my friend Adrian’s life changing decision of putting behind his desire of just letting go and being determined to live a healthy life. I have always had an active life and enjoy playing sports but figured that it wouldn’t be enough and I am currently on a diet which has cut down on my calorie and sugar level intake. Nowadays I take the time to read nutrition labels and measure portion sizes which make a great difference. Every now and then I have a break and consume foods that are not healthy but I now I am doing better now. It is a constant struggle to not get tempted into a delicious looking pizza or some perfectly rounded donuts but I stay motivated to achieve my
When you are committed into accomplishing something, especially if it’s something that is challenging and something that you want to change, you have to put motivation in it to actually accomplish it. My purpose for creating this collage is to persuade people to motivate themselves when they are going through the process of a diet or working out. Without motivation, the work you're putting in your workout or diet is worthless to you. Motivate yourself to boost your confidence which will make you feel great!
This action from human metabolism makes it harder for people to control their weight. “Losing weight has proven to be extremely difficult for large numbers of people,” even with major weight loss programs, such as weight watchers, a program used internationally, “people shed pounds but regain them and many situations gain even more,” this is called “yo-yo dieting” or the constant loss of weight only to gain it back at a later time (CDCP 54). According to Sally E. Smith in her article, “The great diet deception,” weight loss diets and products, very rarely produce long lasting results. Less than five percent of people that go on strict diets accomplish losing weight and actually keeping that weight loss off for over a five year span (Smith). Ninety percent fail, and regain a lot of it back, even all of it in many cases (Smith). A third of that five percent regain more than they had ever lost (Spake).Since dieting is so hard, healthy professionals encourage exercise or a good amount of moderate physical activity, as a way of losing or maintain weight (CDCP 54).The determination of one’s diet is based on a balance of “energy in,” “energy out” difference (Mypyramid.gov). In other words, the amount of calories that are taken in minus the calories burned. For instance, if someone wants to lose weight, the calories that are burned through the whole day need to be greater than the calories that are absorbed that day.
Although many people worldwide continue to use different strategies to burn fat, the majority of them fail to achieve a real fitness purpose. One reason is that most of them eat harmful meals that are causing them to store more extra fat and calorie consumption.
One thing that gets everyone’s attention is the ability to lose weight. Everyone around the world decide one point in their lives to start a diet. People worry about their weight all the time, and believe going on a diet can and will help them lose weight; but that’s not the case at all.
Because it requires so much from an individual, many people are likely to give up before the finish line and the result will not be there. In order to maintain the exercise and diet at the highest level your motivation needs to be high enough. Sometimes that means we need to have a helping hand, sometimes it means we have to kick ourselves in the butt but sometimes it just means we need a new perspective.
I wanted to bring my weight down to decrease my BMI, reduce my body fat percentage, and build confidence within myself. My long-term goals were to lower my BMI of 25.8 to a range between 18.5-24.9, lower body fat percentage to 23%, and to have a better respect and love for my body. Three obstacles that I face at first were poor eating habits, insufficient exercise, and negative thinking plus body shaming. The resources I used to help me throughout this process were friends, the TAMIU rec, the TAMIU counseling center, and YouTube/varies athletic websites. I targeted dates one month apart and each short-term goal included a loss of five pounds and one percent body fat. The rewards I decided to give myself after these objectives were simple things like eating sweats and eating out. The long-term goal that I will continue to strive to achieve is to have the satisfaction of knowing that I can do something about the way I look and see myself. A healthier and happier me is overall the best thing in life that I could

One topic that has been talked about for many years within Kinesiology is the debate on whether exercise or diet is more important for losing weight and maintaining weight loss. While both or important for a person's individual health, a person's diet is essentially the foundation for a healthy lifestyle and an important factor in losing weight and gaining nutrients that can help the body develop. Many studies and experiments have shown that a healthy diet goes a long way in helping people lose more weight, but more importantly teaches them how to continue to treat their bodies in a healthy manner. Dieting has been shown to have a bigger impact on weight loss than exercise has. For this reason, it can be said that a good diet is more effective for weight loss as compared to exercise alone.
