For years now, many students have thought “How do I grow up too be successful?” but the truth here is that the people asking this, don't know what success really means to them. Accomplishment can be defined in a variety of ways, such as the amount of money a person makes, how happy an individual is by themselves, or even achieving in the simple things in life. You can, however, gain the characteristics needed to be successful in the future, for example, patience, determination, and a straight mindset. Accidental effects can also come into play, for instance dumb luck that can happen to anybody and the wealth gap between the person or the school they attend. These are just three of the most important traits a scholar must have in order to get somewhere in their future of education and in life down the path they may take.

Gratitude is used either as referring to the wellness in one’s self and the wellness outside one’s self. First, the acknowledgment of goodness can be in one’s life. In a state of gratitude, we affirm that all in all, life is good, and has elements that make it not just worth living, but rich detail. When we show gratitude from in our lives, we are presenting a wise, beautiful idea that makes mankind realize that giving thanks should not be a choice; it should be a priority. No matter who we are, expressing acknowledgement is contagious. We see others accomplish goals and show appreciation for their hard work, and that makes us feel that we need to bring ourselves accountable for our efforts and appreciate ourselves for our own accomplishments. The association between gratitude and well-being can be explained by different mechanisms including schematic hypothesis, coping hypothesis, and broaden-and-build hypothesis (Wood, Froh, & Geraghty, 2010). As schematic hypothesis states, gratitude is a moral emotion that an individual experience when receiving helps that is viewed as valuable, costly to benefactor, and genuinely intended. Gratitude requires action of the heart. We must express our appreciation toward God in thoughts, praise, and worship. We must practice saying thank you. Someone opens the door…thank you. Someone does something kind…thank you. It is quite simple if you think about it.

The more you think on the meaning of success given to us famously by Earl Nightingale, and immortalised in the Bible, you more you realise YOU are the master of your own destiny. In fact, you can 'think' your way to success in more or less any endeavour of your choice. Moreover, you know this to be true.

Living in gratitude encourages you to easily and effortlessly focus on what you want to achieve instead of what you are missing.

Society is so focused on not failing that people are aiming not to fail instead of aiming to succeed. However, failure in many cases can lead to success by making a person want to work harder to achieve his or her goal. People should always continue to reach their highest potential because there will always be someone trying to surpass them unless they are working on improving themselves. Not only would broadening someone’s horizons lead to experience, but also personal growth.

I make it a personal necessity to incorporate gratitude into my life every morning the minute after I wake up. I realize the importance of gratitude and how much it can influence me to live a positive life. I was taught by my aftercare counselor to create a gratitude list every morning that is made up of five different things that I am grateful for that day. After I make my gratitude list, I then send it to my counselor and my dad. This is an excellent way to help me remind myself that I always have something to be grateful for and that without help from different people, I would not be in the amazing spot in recovery that I am in today. Dreams are the motivating factor for people to set goals. It all starts with an inspiration, to aspirations, to obstacles, which inevitably leads to success. Have you ever asked yourself, “Why do people have new year’s resolutions even though they have no plans on actually doing them?” Well, many people set targets but they never end up achieving them. Why is that? It is mainly because their goals were not SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Timely) enough. While others strive for their dreams even though they know that there is a small chance of reaching it. When we achieve our goals, it gives meaning to our life, helps us overcome future obstacles, and drives us to move forward, which leads to the future ‘you’.

Gratitude has become defined as deeply appreciative attitude for kindnesses or benefits acquired. Several parts of gratitude have been identified. First, a person experiences a warm sense of appreciation toward an individual who performs a generous or desired kind act. Second, appreciation and kindness are expressed toward the person who completed the desired act. The Law of Gratitude: The Law of Gratitude plays out similar to the Law of Cause and Effect or the natural principle of action and reaction. As we look at the law itself, when we express thankfulness to the God Force for that which we have “received” (even though it is still in the unseen), it is an expenditure of force, therefore our gratitude cannot fail to reach God, and when it does the reaction is an instantaneous move toward you. Consider two properly aligned magnets. They are two forces moving in opposite directions while moving toward one another. Gratitude draws you and the Creative Force, God, directly toward each other. If our gratitude is strong enough and consistent then there will always be a move of that which we are co-creating toward us. When the God Force moves toward us it brings all that it is. The Law of Gratitude also dictates that if our heart is not full of gratitude, then something else will take its place. Physics teaches that nature will not tolerate a vacuum. That is to say that if something is removed then something else must take its place. If our hearts are not filled with gratitude, then our hearts will be filled with ungratefulness. An ungrateful heart will take you from what you want as rapidly as a grateful heart will take you toward what you want. The Law of Gratitude nourishes our faith, because as a grateful heart and mind continually expects good things, expectation becomes faith. The first step of success is organization.Organization is a very important part of the process leading to success. Therefore, without it you cannot achieve anything. You have to organize your life. By organizing your life it means that you know what you want, you do not get distracted, you have good relations with everybody. This part is very important in the organization step because if you do not have an organize and stable life, it will affect your education. For example, I have a friend who failed his exam because of the problems he had with his girlfriend. After that failure, he decided to forget all and focus on his studies.
