Day Two For the second day I would have the students use the “Everything is Ready” anchor chart again. I would have the students get ready on their own, and assess how well they are doing. If something needs to change I will make an adjustment right away and incorporate it into the morning procedures as quickly as I could.
Jobs:
Next, I would introduce the jobs within the classroom. These jobs are included in Appendix. I would assign all the students a job and they must complete them during a set time during the day. I would use this as a lead into the agenda. Considering the day before was the first day, it was a little chaotic.
Agenda and Morning Meeting: After the agenda, the class will meet in the front of the room for the

Day Three
For the second day, it will mostly consist of reinforcing the procedures that we have talked about on the first day and incorporating some more. When the third day comes around greet the students and have them get ready for the day. I would continue with a morning meeting and would include a recap on some procedures that we have learning so far. We would practice the quiet signal and the bathroom sign. We would also include what to do when being tardy, and being absent.
Tardiness:
Within the classroom there will be two pencil sharpeners, one will be electric, and the other one will be manual. If a student is tardy and comes in, they must put everything away and grab two sharpened pencils. There will be a container of sharpened pencils in the back along with a manual pencil sharpener for the students to use when the class is learning, or being quiet. The student who is late will come and jump right into what the rest of the class is working on. They will get the rest later when they have time.
Absent:
If a student is absent, they are responsible for gathering the papers that we used the day that they were gone. There will be a container with folders in the back of the classroom, all extra papers will go in there and if a student is absent or does not have the assignment, they can grab it from there. Once the student has all the papers that they need, then they can complete it and turn
In an informal discussion between myself and the class teacher we would determine our roles throughout the activities, what teaching styles will be used to match the needs of the individual children or groups. Discussing the individual children and preparing to provide additional support ensuing all needs are met, any barriers that may become apparent during the lesson can be overcome without fuss.
Ask students if they have and questions or concerns they would like cleared up before moving into the activity.
The four-day school week has gained quite a bit of traction in the United States as of lately. In fact, The Education Commission has estimated that hundreds of districts in 17 states have made the transition. Also, there are state officials present within Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, and Oregon and all have reported increases in the four-day schedule. It is a movement that grows by the month and is the way forward in education. Colby Public Schools absolutely should transition from a five-day school week to a four-day school week due to the benefits of this system. Colby Public Schools most certainly should switch to a four-day school week as it will lead to a saving of money, better in-depth interaction,
Plan the activities, commencing with a starter for the whole class to familiarise with the topic and finding what they already know about it. Then following with an introduction of the subject and and activity for the whole class, then asking questions and develop the topic, maybe in small groups, for a longer period of
Memorize the names of all your students within the first week of instruction. Use students’ names frequently.
In a High/ Scope school setting consistency is the key to readiness. Consistency in the classroom helps the children gain a much stronger understanding of time. In the classroom the day would be started with a morning greeting, following this morning greeting would be planning time, which is when the teacher walks around the class and asks the students to pick out something that they want to work on throughout their work time. The teacher will record what each child is working on and will keep track of when they finish and how long it took them, along with how much assistance they needed for that
Having a daily routine is very important and it supports active learning (Morris, 2009, p. 152). As a teacher I will use my creativity to invent fun and exciting ways to assist students with the daily routine. Creating weekly themes and color schemes along with music, dance and play are a few ways to keep the classroom exciting. While the students are participating in the different activities/lessons, I will observe them. The documentation of how they interact will be kept in a portfolio. I would include all the key experiences which will provide information to help them improve.
Morning Meeting: Students will walk into the classroom, hang up their bags and jackets then eat their breakfast. Once they have finished eating students, will trace their name then they will raise their hand to have a teacher check it when they have finished. When they have finished tracing their name, while waiting for others to finish they can write in their journals. I will let everyone know that we will be reading a story (Twas the Night Before Thanksgiving by Pil key) so they will need to come join me on the rug. We will all sit down in a circle and I will let them know they will need to turn on their listening ears. After we have read the story I will ask the students to go back to their seats let them know they will be handed
Imagine living a life where majority of your family thinks you’re dead but the government knows you’re alive and is trying to hunt you down. This is exactly how Daniel, known as Day, lives his life in the book Legend, published in 2011 by __________. Throughout this 352 page science fiction book you’re taken on an adventure between the perspectives of two seemingly different people. The author, Mary Lou, writes of June who’s a fifteen year old girl born into wealth and of Day, also fifteen, who comes from the poor sectors. This dystopian novel is full of unexpected turns keeping the reader engaged and never wanting to put the book down.
Spielberg usage of documentary footage for One Day in September in the opening moments provides us with archive footage from the news reporters; reporting the kidnapping of eleven Israeli men being held hostage by Palestinian terrorists. The News shows footage of the first rescue on live television, being called off. Then shows the hostage and terrorists being transport to the airport by bus. The explosion at the airport, the news coverage reporting that all the hostages are fine and the terrorist are all dead. There is another news coverage-reporting saying that “Our worst fear is realized tonight; reporting of the eleven hostages, two were killed in their room’s yesterday morning, and nine were killed at the airport tonight. They are all
In this first unit of The First Days of School, Harry Wong presents three characteristics of an effective teacher. The three characteristics are: has good classroom management skills, teaches for mastery, and has positive expectations for student success.
The alarm clock buzzed loudly beside my ear. Feeling like a gong that was being hit repeatedly was placed right beside my head. I sluggishly pulled myself out of my bed and dragged myself to my closet. The words, first day of school moaned ghastly in my head. Summer was uneventful and school was just going to be hell. I picked out an old, worn out flannel and a pair of jeans to wear. Not rushing at all, I struggled to put the raggedy clothes on. They smelt like horrendous lies and rumors. Exactly what this state and my school are built on.
"The Longest Day" was a mammoth project dramatizing D-day, the Allied invasion of France. It was nearly three hours in length and with an enormous ensemble cast, all playing supporting roles. The production was very conscientious about realism, the actors were always of the same nationality as their characters, and spoke in their native languages, leading to a lot of subtitles translating French and German dialogue. Although the movie was historically correct, it was also meant to be a blockbuster by starring John Wane, Robert Mitchum, Sean Connery and Henry Fonda. But The American role in the invasion is not exaggerated, and the German soldiers and officers are not portrayed as brutal stereotypes.
It’s a cool fall day, the wind is blowing and the smell of fresh cut grass is in the air. My brother and I were at our grandma and grandpa’s house celebrating our sixth birthday, but now we are getting ready to leave. When we were waiting out in the dusty old garage for our grandma to come outside, I noticed something cool looking sitting high on a shelf. I climbed up to get it and brought it back down, I was not sure what it was. I took off the cover and it was a machete, a filthy, dull machete covered in dried blood. It smelled foul in comparison to the fresh scent of the fall air, and I thought it was disgusting, but then I swung it around and was fascinated. I showed it to my brother and he felt he absolutely needed to try it out for himself,
