The 3rd family member to go to college and the 2nd youngest in the family. Isamar had a lot of guidance from her 10 sisters which only 2 sisters were able to graduate from college. Which you may think that she had a lot of support since she is one out of 13 children in her family (10 girls, 3 boys), but she had problem getting the money to get to college. So she had to get a part-time job at Kohl’s so she could be able to get money for college, which her older siblings were able to help her little bit with the money. When she graduate and was able to afford college she decided to go to San Jose Community College which she studied how to be a social worker. When I mean by that is when I talked to her with my notebook and pencil in hand Which when I saw her She’s is around 5ft tall, she looks like she’s a smart ,very serious ,confident, and ambitious person. The reason why I described her liked that is because she has a serious and smart kind of look, like she’s works at a office, and then I asked her
“what major did you choose?” which is was a big silence since I didn’t say anything after that and she was trying to remember what major did she choose 4 years ago, then she answered with a serious but confused tone like she’s still trying to remember, “Um…Hmm… oh I wanted to become a social worker.” I was confused on the major she had picked since I didn’t know what is a social worker was and what they do so I asked her what is was? Which then I was able to learn that her degree is to help arrange adoptions, locate foster families, or to work to get families back together. Then I skipped further questions on her major and asked “how was college to you? Like the experience?” then she responds without hesitation “ It was a good experience because I got to study the thing I was interested in and
