Why Hunting Is Bad
Imagine you were a deer minding your own business and you heard something and you looked and nothing was there and then you turned around and BOOM! You got shot. You were in a lot of pain. Then you died. People should stop hunting animals because animals are a natural resource, it causes pain and suffering,it is not a sport.
One reason that hunting is not a sport is animals will experience pain and DEATH.Hear are some weapons that hunters might use for hunting knives, guns, arrows, traps
My Second reason is It causes pain and suffering by that I mean that animals to go exitinct and we do not want
I believe that Hunting should stay legal because you can get a fresh and healthy product, Less people will be poor because they are saving tons of money by not going to the store to buy meat, and it’s a fun thing to do with your free time.
Hunting is a common activity all around the world, and if performed properly, can have many benefits to us and the rest of the planet. The art of hunting has been around since the beginning of time. Living off of the land used to be a necessity across the world, until the mass production of food came along. In America, people do not usually need to hunt to survive. However, the population of animal species needs to be controlled. Too many of one type of animal can cause a drastic change to any ecosystem. Food supplies decline quickly, leaving many animals without food. Hunting can help keep the population of a group of animals at a good number, making the lives of the other
Hunting is a part of our culture and has been all throughout history. “Our prehistoric ancestors were hunters. To them, animals were as sacred as life itself. A good hunt assured survival.” (National Shooting Sports Foundation) . If our ancestors didn’t hunt, then they didn’t live. They relied on it for the survival of their families.
I personally agree that hunting is extremely necessary. I think that whether it's for food or for a sport it doesn't make a difference. I hunt so I can personally say that it is important and I can see why some people enjoy it. It takes a variety of skills and a lot of patients. It also does keep animal populations down which lowers the amount of road killed deer. This is extremely beneficial for drivers because when you hit a deer it can do a lot of damage to the vehicle and endanger the occupants of the
Hunting has been around for as long as people have been on this earth and if that were taken away completely some people would lose that sense of nature to hunt. Hunting is people who kill animals for food, clothing, or sport. In 2011 13.7 million people, 6% of the U.S. population 16 years old and older, hunted. Big game like elk, deer and wild
In a civilized and cultivated country, wild animals only continue to exist at all when preserved by sportsmen”("MARC FOLCO: Some hunting, fishing quotes to live by"). Hunters are the leading source for all conservation programs. Theodore Roosevelt was one of the most passionate hunters. People put down hunting like it’s a bad thing. Many hunters contribute billions of dollars the the economy. Hunting should not be banned because of the positive impacts it has on society.
Hunting is the practice of pursuing wildlife in order to kill it. Individuals who hunt do so for a variety of reasons while wildlife activists oppose hunters’ views and practices. Many people in rural areas of the United States hunt in order to harvest lean, organic, healthy meat for personal consumption. Some individuals hunt because it is tradition and a significant part of their heritage. Others choose to hunt as a means to escape the ins and outs of a chaotic society while taking in the serenity of the great outdoors in a therapeutic manner. Some hunters enjoy hunting for the thrill and the challenge of the chase. Other reasons people hunt include trophy hunting, travel to exotic locations, spending quality time with family and friends, and wildlife conservation. Individuals who are against hunting typically argue that hunting is inhumane and is considered cruelty to animals. Due to the benefits of properly managed ethical hunting, hunting should be legal within the United States.
In the novel, The Most Dangerous Game, Richard Connell expresses that hunting, as a game is immoral and is played for fun. Connell also illustrates that hunting in particular is not a good thing to do. The author of this novel has shown that hunting is a dangerous game through one of the main characters, General Zaroff, who is crazy, ill and thinks of hunting humans as a sport.
In conclusion, I don’t agree with big game hunting because statistics show that non lethal nature viewing benefits more than simply killing animals for money. Not only that, but they kill the animal, only taking the parts they want and leaving the rest to rot. To kill an innocent creature for bragging rights is simple
When a Minnesota dentist killed a prized African lion named "Cecil" he received an onslaught of criticism and reignited the debate concerning hunting. I hunt. I have hunted for years and I don't see anything wrong with it. The reasons I hunt are for the meat, I think it tastes better than store-bought meat and it doesn't have any additives in it, and for the time I get to spend out in the mountains. However, there are some people who are against hunting.
From the winter’s deer season to spring’s turkey season, there will always be different kinds of animals in the wild that could be used for food. Many different cultures rely on these hunts to bring about survival for their own population. (Farbman). With the rotation of animals between seasons comes rules and regulations as to how these animals can be taken; these different seasons and laws have the ability to challenge the hunter so that he/she have to work for the animal that they want and so that the animal themselves are not inhumanly killed. For example, a bird being shot by a bullet that is too large would allow for an exaggerated kill for the hunter, as well as a inhumane and unjust killing of that animal. During bow hunting, one would skillfully use a bow and arrow, and strategically puncture the animals in the thoracic region. Rifle hunting is by going out with a rifle, as in trapping, you would set traps out and wait, then use your rifle when the time comes. Spearing is a little trickier than the other techniques. One would have to get right up on them to successfully use the spear. Though any way is purposeful, the main objective is to win the animal at the end of the day. Back before the pioneers and settlers ran the
Buzzle: Hunting Pros and Cons. Last but never least, sport hunting should be banned due to the fact that it causes the endanger and extinction of animal species. “One glaring negative of hunting for sport is over hunting. This occurs when hunters kill too many of a species, threatening their survival.” (Life123). Species become endangered when they are over hunted, and if hunters take it too far, the species will no longer exist. “…there are many animals that have been over-hunted and brought to near extinction, one example being the American Buffalo. Another example was the over-killing of the Cougar. Although this animal was hunted to protect cattle from being attacked, it led to this species nearly becoming extinct.” (Buzzle) The substandard thing about species becoming extinct is that they might not reappear until millions of years later. Imagine how long that would
Humans have been hunting on this planet for over two million years. Our ancestors used complex hunting techniques to ambush and kill antelopes, gazelles, and other large animals dated back to times before Christ. People all around the world still carry on the tradition, but the view on hunting is not the same as it was back then. The world is so industrialized, and people think hunting is cruel and useless because you can buy meat at grocery stores. But in reality, it is the reason the wildlife they see are not extinct. Harvesting game not only benefits the hunter with the meat, but also the land, the wildlife, and controls the game population; therefore, without it wildlife would starve, and land would not be managed.
Hunting has always been a fundamental aspect of life throughout human’s history. Thus, it’s widely accepted that hunting animals for food and other similar purposes is normal. However, there has been lots of debate involving the legality of hunting animals for trophies. This essay argues that trophy hunting should be made illegal. It will show two major reasons supporting this main conclusion, involving the negative impacts of trophies hunting on the biological diversity and evolution. It will then examine one main objection relating to the benefits of the activity for animal conservation, but will rebut this objection.
Everyday thousands of animals are brutally murdered by people that participate in the recreational activity that is hunting. Hunting is an activity that involves a person attempting to kill or trap an animal. Hunting is mainly done to animals in the wildlife and often in cases are used for food, clothing, recreation or trade. In my opinion hunting is morally wrong.
