Just imagine your animal is being for scientific research for some random experiment. There are lots of animals that die each year. There are 100 millions of animals that die because of awful experiments. Animals should not be used for scientific research because animal testing is cruel and inhumane, there are alternative testing methods, and animals don’t always react the same way. The first reason why animals should not be used in animal testing is because it is cruel. In procon .org it states “ animals always feel pain when they are being tested”. This shows how it is inhumane because people just want their products and they are happy. Some people don’t care about how animals feels. Animal testing is also cruel because they get any animal
My first reason is that animal testing harms animals. Over 100 million animals each year are burned, crippled, poisoned, and abused. That means 100 million animals torchered just to see if medicine works. Although, some people say that it's the only way to test if medicine works they are wrong. Scientists can use robots, machines, and volunteers to see if medicine works. Animal testing is harmful to animals should not be used.
Animals do not suffer from the same diseases that us humans have, for example curing heart failure induced by cutting a dogs aorta will not help to cure heart failure caused by a build-up of cholesterol in human arteries. We waste animal lives everyday and for what? The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has noted that 92 percent of all drugs that are shown to be safe and effective in animal tests fail in human trials because they don’t work or are dangerous. And of the small percentage of drugs approved for human use, half end up being relabeled because of side effects that were not identified in tests on animals. This makes it extremely dangerous to humans, because animal testing is not dependable, it can cause serious side effects to humans that weren’t an issue to the animals during testing.
Animals can be burned, crippled, poisoned, and abused as a result of testing. And the list could go on forever. The way animals are being mistreated and tested on should be against the law. There is a different ways to do research other than killing and abusing animals. There are many alternate test that scientist can use to do there research without harming animals. Alternative test are defined as test that use the three “R’s”, a test that replaces a procedure that uses animals with one that doesn’t, a test that reduces the number of animals used in a procedure, and test that refine a procedure to cause less pain to the animal.(11 Facts about…)
biomedical experimentation leads to animal suffering millions of animals are stuck behind cages many of those animals never had a life outside of a laboratory. According to petda More than one million animals are used for biomedical research each year big companies use animals to test their products some of these products humans use everyday it can be as simple as your shampoo or body wash to your eye liner. animals have rights too just as humans, animals are subject to many different test in 1920 animals were used for acute toxicity testing in which the animal was subject to poisoning to determine the toxic consequences of a single, short-term exposure to a product or chemical, the substance is administered to animals
The public doesn’t know what processes go through a product before it finally reaches them. Products like contact lenses, detergents, toothpaste, cosmetics and so forth are being tested on animals to ensure safety their safety. Animal research has been an important issue which is debated even today. Many people feel that the usage of animals for research is cruel and morally wrong. It is argued that animals are tortured and they go through so much of suffering just for our benefit. However, If we eliminate testing, then it would be a really big change in our lives which could lead to more problems and difficulties rather than actually solving the problem. Animal experiments should continue to proceed as it has consistently brought accomplishment
People shouldn't support animal testing because it causes the animals pain that they could possibly not recover from or worse die from. Before they die some animals are forced to inhale toxic fumes, some even have their skin burned off or worse have holes drilled into their skulls and even sometimes their spinal
Though animal testing is helpful in some ways, it is almost always inaccurate. Animal testing is a waste of resources and time. Money is being wasted on is extremely inaccurate. As well as innocent lives. Yet another reason why animal testing should come to a halt.
One reason that animal testing is supported is that research on animals can help with the discoveries of life-saving cures and treatments. According to the California Biomedical Research Association, a majority of research discoveries from the past 100 years are a result of animal testing. But to discover those treatments, animals had to undergo a large amount of pain and suffering. As mentioned before, it is not right to treat animals badly. Animals are living creatures like humans, so it is not right to mistreat them and give them nothing in
Animal testing is a horrible way to test products because its extremely cruel to the animals used. Scientists everywhere are using animals to test there products. "There could be as high as 115,000,000 animals per year used in testing, most of them get *euthanized at the end of the experiment". According to the article this house would ban animal testing from ideabate.org. "research on living animals have been practiced since 500 B.C." Think about how many animals that have been used! First of all, animals are being taken away from there homes to be used for testing. Secondly, research can be done effectively without harming an animal or human. Lastly, animal research causes harm to the animal. All of my reasons
Animal testing is wrong for various reasons. The history of animal testing goes back to the writings of the ancient Greeks and is defined as any scientific experiment or test in which a live animal is forced to undergo something that is likely to cause them pain, suffering, distress or lasting harm. Examples of animal testing include: forcing mice and rats to inhale toxic fumes, force-feeding dog’s pesticides, and dripping chemicals into rabbits’ eyes. Although, many people believe that animal testing has contributed to many life-saving cures and treatments, innocent animals used in laboratories are deliberately harmed, for a company’s benefit, and are usually killed at the end of the experiment. Animal testing has negative effects on not only animals, but on society and the economy. Some reasons why include, but are not limited to: alternative methods exist that are safer, ethical, and cheaper; billions of dollars are wasted each year on animal testing because neither the corporations nor the customers are benefiting from it; and just because the product is tested for animals, it does not necessarily make it safe for humans. Therefore, because animal testing is unreliable, leads to billions of wasted dollars, and causes an incredible amount of animal suffering, we must begin to use alternative methods and raise awareness about this huge issue.
There are countless reasons why animal testing is a horrid practice, however there are a few faulty reasons why animal testing is used. Those who support animal testing argue that it is for the safety of humans and the environment. This will keep dangerous products from the public. Statistically through, animal testing is far from ensuring
Despite all the benefits that animal research has yielded, many people believe that animals should not be used for testing medications to determine toxicity of medication, or to establish safety of the medications. They state that the animals are kept in captivity then they are killed after the experiment. The opponents argue that animal research is cruel and inhumane, which is true in some cases since the animals finally end up dead. They also argue that the testing yields irrelevant results since animals are so different from humans. The
Animal research has been used for several centuries as part of experiments conducted to assure the safe use of medicine, food, cosmetics, and among other products. It is an important issue because it concerns millions of life animals that are constantly in danger for unethical practices. Animal testing has brought many debates worldwide among countries that are against this practice. I believe that the use of animals for such purposes is cruel and unnecessary.
Animals, we can either have them as a pet, food, or a testing subject. Now even though we can do that with them, is it right if we do? Animals, they are appropriate for testing because they are similar to humans in many ways. The fact that animals are close to us humans, it makes scientist have an advantage over trying to test out their medicine. Scientist do not have to struggle trying to find data on something else, they have the animals right there, they can use them. Now all this is true, but again, is it right? Just because animals can not speak up for themselves and say “No!” does not mean we can use them. Its cruel, and it’s just not right for them. Testing on Animals has its pro’s, and its con’s. The reason we need animal testing is 1.Test
Animal testing should not be allowed. What is animal testing you ask? Well, animal testing is a cruel way of testing medicine and drugs. When people test on animals, sometimes they die by side effects of the medicine. People test on animals to see if it does anything to the body, but their method has flaws. The animal’s body may not work the same as a human body, so there is no one hundred percent certainty that it won’t be bad for us if it wasn’t bad for the animal. The animal’s dna is not the same as a humans. Animal testing is inhumane.
