I feel like the range of my evidence could have been better.Instead of just using websites, databases and books, I felt that I could have expanded my range of sources to documentaries and pictures as well. The reason I did not do this was because of my poor time management. Next time I am going to plan my time more wisely and research about the even a little bit beforehand so I know how big of an event it is and the controversies that surround it. Another thing I could improve on is my annotations of my evidence. The annotations I wrote were too brief and vague; it lacked in-depth understanding as well (e.g.”This is useful because it shows the consequences of the Tiananmen Square Protests in the western world. This text gives us a perspective
This paper has aimed to evaluate the course of events that when working in rotation can facilitate effective teaching and learning. It has highlighted the planning, teaching, evaluating and assessment cycle, which is ever revolving helping practitioners to plan, evaluate and assess their pedagogic practice. It has underlined the importance of planning and assessing in teaching practice. It has considered concrete strategies to use during this cycle and studied these events when critically analysing current assessment theory. Through theory and practical evidence it has attempted to show that levelling and grading has to be fair and accurate to enable each and every pupil to receive the education that they deserve. Throughout this paper it has
At the end of the lesson Students are going to be able to describe where they live using the verb "vivir" and "tener" in Spanish. During unit two, they been using the these verbs and in the beginning of the lesson they answer the "Do NOw" activity where I asked then: ?Donde tu vives? They answer the question in Spanish and used the verb in the correct tense. After that, they answer a listening question where they had to identify the part of the house using the vocabulary proposed at the beginning of the lesson. Finally, they started a project where they had to create a Floor plan and describe their ideal house. For this activity, they have to use the verb "tener" in present tense. The completion of these activities ensures the acquisition of the new vocabulary and the verbs tense. It is important to mention, that this lesson will continue next week because students need more time to complete their DOL activity.
The social observation took place in Kam Swap meet in Pearlridge. Kam Swap meet is an open market where farmers can rent booths to sell their products. The swap meet is not only for produce, some sellers also sell their old household and personal items for bargain prices similar to a garage sale. My grandpa has a booth and he sells bananas, every weekend my mom and I assist my grandpa with the booth. I observed and took notes for half an hour on the customers that came to buy in our banana booth.
Intuitively I knew things were wrong and could not continue as they were. Standing in the middle of the 911-communications center was a shrieking, out of control, Police Lieutenant belittling, berating, and humiliating a co-worker. “Again” this was happening and; again, no way was I going to listen just quietly to it. Being a bystander in life is unacceptable and thus, started my trek through the unfamiliar territory of labor and human relations.
Decent and street organize the community socially, and the way they coexist and interact has particular important consequences for its residents, and particularly for children growing up in the inner city (Anderson, 32). An incident occurred one day at the end of program when the students were being dismissed at 3:20 P.M. Sinu was sitting on a nearby stoop and the people who lived there came out and started an altercation with the students. This altercation escalated rapidly, as glass bottles broken, baseball bats, and wooden poles were clutched within the hands of the students and the adults. This altercation was broken up as quickly as possible before any physical action occurred and the police were called and did not show up until after
Worker is recommending supervision for Dalton for a period of one year. Worker believes that Dalton may benefit from stability and accountability while on supervision. Worker is requesting that Dalton be ordered to immediately participate in the ankle monitoring program for at least 60 days during the period of supervision and some of the days be stayed so that the worker could use at her discretion. Worker has not met Dalton yet but with the new law enforcement referrals and reports from his parents and grandmother, Dalton is in need of delinquency
The amount of mental fortitude a person possess can only be measured once the individual runs out of it. I decided to see how much I possessed when I went to Air Force boot camp. I knew that the duration of the training would include a rigorous agenda designed to break my physical and mental will.
I interviewed a Rosemarie Ordonez Jenkins Senior Director of Community Resources at Phipps Neighborhood who’s currently oversees 11 programs including a family shelter where I work as a case manager for over 4 years. Ms. Rosemarie is a License Social Work who obtained her Master from Fordham University Graduate School of Social Services 27 years ago.
The project I did was make a little something for all the volunteers at Casa. For four of the month for the month of February, I did a similar product using paint samples of four I wrote Indians boxes I heart you’re a childlike sense of fun and one of each of the four boxes. I also did a little something for the staff to hang it in the workroom where read on February 2nd and awareness of the number one killer in the US heart disease. February I looked on Pinterest to get the idea and then went to Lowe’s to find the paint samples I’ve been going to Michael’s to get the heart stamp and found an XOXO stamp at home. While I was looking up red nose day I found February 2nd national red t-shirt day. For March I made a gratitude game with colored

I did not see any loose carts or excessive litter in the newly resurfaced, great looking parking lot. The inside of the store was appealing with its well lit, clean and in good order aisles. The men’s restroom gave me the impression that someone had spent some time in making it look good. I met Don as he was stocking a shelf in a grocery aisle. This person was very friendly! He did not only lead me to a product, but he had me smiling and happy as we talked. I did pass several other employees in the aisles. Each one had a smile with a personal greeting for me. All the departments had a friendly employee in them. The departments were all well stocked and products were easy to see. Cory in the Deli/Hot Bar was very helpful. He handled my questions
During the engagement, the clinician can make important observation about the clients including their mood and their mannerisms. During group, the therapist can observe the individual and how they interact with the group as a whole. When engaging with clients, it is important for the clinician to demonstrate an unconditional positive regard with the client, being mindful of cultural differences and barriers. According to NASW code of Ethic 1.05, culture competence should be displayed by all social workers. I would make sure to demonstrate genuineness and empathy towards the group.
The Client I have chosen to observe for this project works with myself and my co-workers at placement. This client is twenty years old but has the brain of a ten year old. This client as I have been told by herself and my supervisor has FAS, ADHD, anxiety and depression. My hypothesis on this clients behavior is that they are just not used to big crowds of people, responsibility and people to talk to so this client gets very excited about being able to feel welcome and important. Some behavioral techniques that I could use with this client are Proximity and Touch Control, Hypodermic Affection, humor and Limitation of Space and Tools. For example I could use Proximity and Touch Control when the client is feeling overwhelmed and the anxiety
The following data was gathered while fulfilling duties as a principal intern at Theresa Bunker Elementary School. The data was observed during five to seven minutes of classroom observation as part of a walk-through in the spring of the current school year. My cooperating supervisor for my internship was able to go on these walk-throughs with me in order to have a productive reflection meeting afterwards. This elementary school has two of each grade level from Kindergarten to sixth grade. Since it was more feasible in this small school setting, I actually was able to do a walkthrough in eight classes. Here I will report my observations from five of those walk-throughs. As I went in to each room I was looking for four
I conducted a classroom observation at Anacostia High School, a predominantly black school located in Southeast D.C. I chose this school primarily for several reasons: it is predominantly black (100%) and low-income (100%), and many of school’s problems reflect the extremities of educational neglect. Before going to the school, I looked into several statistics and reviews about the school’s environment and academic performance. For someone who attended a school that consistently faced closure and downsizing, I was shocked by what I read online. I was shocked that such an environment could possibly exist despite being located in the nation’s capital and being several miles from the house of, arguable, the most powerful politician in the world. Nonetheless, I was curious and eager to understand the school’s environment and the reality of the classroom I would be observing.
