Question
pls hlep me using python

Transcribed Image Text:Ask the user to input a line of text with the prompt "Enter a string: ". The program should extract all numbers (either with a decimal point or
without one) from the line of text, compute their sum, and print it as a floating point number with two places to the right of the decimal
point. (To print the floating point variable ff with exactly two decimal places use print(%.2f' % ff) as explained in section 7.2 of our book, see
figure 7.2.2 and the paragraph just above it.)
For example, if the input was
The sum of 246 and 1025 is
the output should be the single line
1271.00
If the input is
Fried oysters $12.75, salad $3.35, coffee $1.85, tax 1.36
the output should be
19.31
And if the input is
dyuadgh12345agdfkl;j12
the output should be
12357.00

Step 1 - Analysis and Algorithm
Programming language : Python
Problem Statement :
From a given input string, we have to extract numbers (can be floating point type numbers too) and print its sum. Precision required upto 2 decimal points.
Algorithm :
1. Input the string from the user.
2. Using findall(), search for the pattern \d*\.\d+|\d in the input string.
3. The output type of the above statement is a list containing all the numbers in the given string.
4. Loop through the list and add the contents to the variable sum to determine the sum of the elements of the list.
5. Print the sum.
