This is a question on a prelab: Poly(amide) is a polymeric substance more commonly known as nylon. As a solid it has a density of 1.22 g/mL. What volume of water (density = 0.997 g/mL) would need to be added to 15.0 mL of glycerol (density = 1.26 g/mL) to just suspend a piece of solid nylon with dimensions of 1.0 cm x 2.0 cm by 2.2 cm? How would I go about starting this?
