Question

what is c-abl mRNA

Expert Solution
Step 1

An mRNA is the RNA encoded from a stretch of DNA template strand to serve as a template for the synthesis of a particular polypeptide chain.

Step 2

The c-abl gene codes for tyrosine kinase protein and is expressed in many cell types. The mRNA encoded from the c-abl gene is called c-abl-mRNA. The translation of c-abl-mRNA then produces the tyrosine kinase protein.
