A feature (visual) search is a perceptual task needing attention that characteristically includes an active scan of the visual location for a specific object or feature (the goal) amid other objects or features. In contrast, the conjunction search is a visual exploration procedure that lays emphasis on identifying formerly requested targets, bounded by distractors that have one or more common visual features.
