Jeffrey is always worried about the environment and thus he carry out his operation in such a manner that it does not impact the environment. Such an approach reflects his authentic leadership and the manner in which he is making his workforce aware of the accountability they have towards the society.
He is an authentic leader because he has the courage to address public and make a difficult decision for the company so as to provide insight to the society about the initiative taken by their company for recycling of the water resources. He possesses the skill and potential to conserve natural resources by his action that involves breaking of rock to allow methane to pass out in the ground.
The case states that it has been declared by few organizations that it is impracticable to drill the ground without causing any harm to the environment. However, Jeffrey from his skill and potential has achieved success that not only keeps the safety of the environment intact but also earns profit for his company. This represents that Jeffrey and his workforce is authentic towards the environment.
