Program Explanation

Traditionally, procedural language was used for programming. These languages are based on algorithms which involve step-by-step processing of a problem. Procedural Languages are called third-generation languages (3GL).

It involves precise definition of each step by the programmer to solve the problem. The programmer creates a command for each processing step.

These languages determine what and how a process should be done. The example of this language is COBOL.
