1 ANT202H F 2023: BIOLOGICAL ANTHROPOLOGY HUMAN VARIATION AND ADAPTATION ARTICLE CRITIQUE INSTRUCTIONS TYPES OF SCIENTIFIC PAPERS Developing the ability to critically read and evaluate scientific literature is a crucial skill for students in any scientific discipline. Critiquing a peer-reviewed paper allows students to engage with scientific research, analyze its strengths and weaknesses, and form evidence-based opinions. This assignment aims to foster critical reading skills by requiring students to select a peer-reviewed paper of their choice and write a one-page critique. The critique should include an assessment of the paper's type, positive aspects, areas of improvement, and its overall significance in the field of study. Students will select one of the following papers to critique (PDFs are available on Quercus as well, under “Article critique” in the Modules section): 1. What is unique about the human eye?
