Mars In The Not So Far Future For this image, I drew a higher atmosphere view of Mars in the farther future. It could be a future with some colonization of Mars. At the top, I included a solar eclipse that happens more often on Mars due to the moons, Deimos and Phobos, being more in the same elliptical plane with Mars than on Earth. Unlike the giant moon of Earth, Deimos and Phobos, are a lot smaller and do not cover the entire sun during a solar eclipse. This is why I drew it covering barely forty percent of the entire sun. I drew Mars’ moon, either Deimos or Phobos, lumpier since it is not a perfect sphere in real life. I then have some orbiters or satellites around Mars as perhaps, in the future, we colonize Mars further than now. Even now, there are orbiters and rovers on Mars. Next, in the center of page, Mt. Olympus is a prominent feature of Mars. The mountain/volcano is around 3 times larger than Mt. Everest. It is the biggest mountain in the solar system, which is why I have it so big in the picture. The color of Mars is red/orange. This is due iron oxide on the surface of Mars. Furthermore, Mars does have an atmosphere that has a bit more of an orange color. This makes up the reason for my color choice. Lastly, I drew a lot of civilization such as rovers and space colonies that will eventually scatter the surface. In the near future, technology might make it possible to live on Mars. Although, I did not overdo the civilization. Mars has a lot of different aspects that make not fit for human life such as dust storms and little to no atmosphere. The dust storms are represented with some streaks of orange on top of the surface. Luckily, however, we have a pretty good university on Mars for us to learn more about the solar system.
