Global Leadership Plan

Introduction
The global environment possesses opportunities and challenges, requiring a leadership approach that effectively addresses the challenges and explores and exploits the opportunities. The world needs global leaders equipped with the competencies to manage complex issues and lead change in various capacities (Mendenhall et al., 2018). The need for global leaders is significant in addressing the global challenges, especially the issues that have persisted over the years, such as climate change, poverty levels, and emerging issues such as the COVID-19 pandemic, which shook the world to its core. Global leaders have a role to play, establishing cohesiveness in addressing various people. For instance, a global leader will recognize that to solve some challenges, a collaborative approach where different facets of the world are interconnected will contribute to the solutions required to address the problems in question, such as climate change and health issues. Burra (2023) illustrates that global leadership is key to leading innovation in global organizations and influencing the future in the global environment. Global leaders play a critical role in redefining the future by influencing innovation and adaptability, as through their competencies, they can overcome the uncertainty posed by the dynamic environment and turn the challenges into opportunities. Given the crucial role of global leaders, I intend to develop and enhance my competencies to match that of a global leader and serve in my capacity to lead change intend, influence innovation, cooperation, and interconnections, and address global challenges.
Personal Leadership Plan at the Global Level
My personal leadership plan will provide the roadmap that outlines the skills. Competencies, responsibilities, values, and my vision as a global leader. The plan is an important
aspect of defining the type of global leader I intend to be and highlighting what it will take to

become a great leader. Serrat (2021) states that one of the essential elements of a personal leadership development plan is that the individual can determine the kind of leader they want to be and the competencies they need to develop to actualize their visions. The plan is essential in ensuring the leader can track their development process, highlighting the goals achieved, areas that need improvement, and competencies that should be considered. It is a guideline that ensures
that the leader is at par with their objective to develop the required leadership competencies, in this case, global leadership competencies (Serrat, 2021).
My Vision
Different forces drive leaders in management positions in different organizations to be the
leaders they are. I have drawn my inspiration to become a global leader by driving change and influencing those I lead to be innovative and creative to overcome global challenges. Today, the world is facing complex problems and challenges that require a leader bold enough to come up with innovative solutions to address these problems and shape the future of the global environment. Having a leadership vision will ensure that I am focused on meeting my targets in becoming an effective global leader. A leadership vision ensures that one stays motivated and communicates their intentions to team members to channel their efforts in realizing the objectives of the leadership role (Hasbi, 2018).
My vision as a leader is to foster a positive environment for innovation and creativity to solve the world's problems. In addition, I aim to embrace cooperation and partnership among different stakeholders while recognizing the multicultural approach that comes with diversity through partnerships (Mendenhall et al., 2018). At the same time, understanding that the world is
dynamic and there is a need to expect more challenges and crises in the future, I will invest in personal development and growth of my leadership competencies and skill to ensure I will adapt
