Speech Topic: Hot Spring National Park Thesis Statement: Hot Spring National Park is more interesting then seems and “today I’ll be talking about the history, interesting aspects, and activities to do.” Main Point 1: The history Hot Spring National Park is located in Garlic County Arkansas. It is smallest than all national parks and includes mineral rich water(nps). Known as a hotspot. With 37 hot springs. Oldest national park in the system. Native Americans called it Valley of the vapors. 1832 Andrew Jackson set a reservation for Hot Springs Main Point 2: Interesting aspects Has a lot of gambling and prostitution history. Hot Spring National Park is a popular hangout place. Illegal gambling occurred in this park and in 1899 a gunfight occurred. It was a haven for criminals and more gangster arrived. But criminal activities ended by federal government. Main Point 3: Things to do Hiking trails; over 30 miles of hiking trails at the park. Still available to visit during this pandemic. 2 bath houses to enjoy thermal waters. Tours are offered. Using the correct terminology from our course, please write a few sentences about each of the following items: The one thing that impressed me most about this speech and why was: One thing that impressed me was how nicely she layed out her speech. It was easy to follow along and understand everything she mentioned, especially the main points.
