Stand-up meeting 3 question What have "you" done since the last workshop? Answer- Since the last workshop, I have got some feedback in the mind map. After getting the guidance, I have added several branches & sub-branches in the previous mind map and represented that in a new theme. I have contributed in writing the formal and non-formal requirements. Aside from these, I have helped our team leader to edit the grammatical aspects of the draft project. I also contributed in finding out domain class and attributes. What do "you" plan on doing on the day of your next workshop? Answer- On the day of the next workshop, I want to receive feedback about the whole project from the teacher and fix my mistakes in the group project if there are any. I aim to start working on retrospectives with my teammates. I will also check all the feedback which we will get from the teacher and finish all the remaining tasks. What problems are preventing "your" progress on the group assignment? Answer- Even though our team had a rough start, we are quite stable now. There are no specific problem that is hindering my progress but I feel that I am a bit weak in the grammatical aspects. That is why I have to check the word files a few times before submitting. But I try to do the tasks as perfectly as possible. 1.What is a Retrospective? Answer- Retrospective is a structured meeting process that takes place after each sprint to find out what went well and what needs improvement. Generally for a 2 week sprint, the retrospective is 1 hour long. The scrum master or product owner works as the facilitator. This method helps the team to evaluate the work done by the group. The traditional retrospective has five steps:- Prepare- In this stage, the substances needed for the retrospective such as white board, sticky notes, pen etc are arranged. Set the stage- In this stage, the discussion starts with a positive note. Some facilitator might establish ground rules and set the purpose of the retrospective. What went well- In this stage, the team members use sticky notes and write about what went well. What needs improvement- In this stage, the team members use the previous structure to write what needs improvement. The points are elaborately discussed. Next step- The main purpose of retrospective is to positively discuss how to improve the next sprint while taking lesson from this sprint’s mistakes. Here the sectors which needs improvement are chosen by votes. In the next sprint, the team mates try to overcome those issues. The scrum master or the product owner takes opinion on action plan for the next sprint.
There are many structures of retrospective but all have the common steps which have been documented. 2.When should a Retrospective be held? Answer- Generally retrospectives are held at the end of each sprint. Each sprint last for at least 1-4 weeks. After this period, the retrospective helps to evaluate the sprint. 3.List, describe and provide an image of five different types of Retrospective templates. Answer- Five different types of retrospective templates are described below :- Mad ,Sad, Glad Template- This template focuses on team’s emotional health. Listing out feeling and resolving the issues will take the sprint in a positive level.
Sailboat Template- In this template, the goal is illustrated using the island. Here sailboat is the team, wind is the helping attributes of the team, rock is the risk and the anchor is what slows down the boat aca the team. This template is illustrative.
