Daily Scrum Meeting What are the key questions that can be used to frame a Daily Scrum meeting? What did I do yesterday? What did I do today? Are there any blockers preventing me from doing my work? How do they help the team achieve their goals? Coordination of the group's efforts. locating and eliminating the development's obstacles are key answers for what was done yesterday and today. Daily plan modification and sprint backlog progress tracking using reviews, along with burndown chart updates are crucial to find out if anything is preventing work from getting done or lapses in work assignments. Goals can be viewed every day and talked out with the group as to see what is likely to be good and what direction needs to be taken. This is good for enhancing cooperation and team participation. The Scrum Master leads the meeting and makes sure it stays on topic. Before allowing the other team members to answer in turn, she answers the three questions at the start of the daily scrum meeting. The other team members provide ideas on how to solve challenges as each member of the group shares a challenge. Whenever a team member veered off topic and into something irrelevant to the agenda, the scrum master would reroute the discussion and record the questions to be handled after the meeting. What things did the Scrum Master do effectively? How could she improve? The Scrum Master could have done better from this meeting. She was not organized enough to be in a leadership position. Attendance from every team member is essential to the success of the scrum meeting. After every team member answers the three questions, she should offer her opinions or suggestions to assist them all improve. The scrum master's comments included some that had nothing to do with the project. Telling them about the sunshades she had ordered for the team and talking to other scrum masters about her issues had nothing to do with the project.
