Question #1 How did the need for this project arise?
The need for this project arose when Gasey Canada faced a crisis after the reports revealed that
the product of Gasey Canada produced higher emissions and toxic gases than its competitors
The environmental activists wanted to boycott the products and fuel stations saying Gasey
Canada kept public health in danger. The new CEO Jeff Brigs promised to switch to
environmentally friendly products within 6 months. So, the idea of Greener Pedal came.
Question #2 What is the business goal behind this project?
The main goal of this business is to overcome the PR crisis, rebuild the image in the community,
and gain public trust again. The new CEO believes that selling the greener Pedal could increase
sales and they want to show their commitment towards environmental conservation because
consumers are more conscious of their carbon footprint and are attracted to eco-friendly
products. Question #3 What questions would you ask the project sponsor to develop a project plan?
