2021 LIBS 110G Creative Commons Assignment NAME : Enoch Taylor 1. What is the purpose of a Creative Commons license? (50 words or more) Creative Commons is an organization that offers free licenses for creators to use so that their work is available to the public. These licenses give the creator advance permission for others to use the work under specific conditions. Every time a work, such as an NFT or picture, is created it is automatically given copyright protection. These licenses allow the creator of a work to decide how they want other people to use it. When a creator releases their work under a CC license, the public will know what they are and are not allowed to do with it. This means that they only need to get the permission of the creator when they want to use the work in a way that is not permitted by the license. 2. Using the tips in the module folder, find a Creative Commons licensed image related to your research question for use in your final presentation. Include the image, link to image, and proper citation using your preferred format below. (Tip: when providing the link to the image, link to the site it is embedded in).
