2 AI technology, while it is new, can have some great benefits to healthcare. AI technology is expanding rapidly, and harnessing this new technology to help others can help save lives. With AI technology, we can free up nurses and healthcare workers to get to helping patients faster if AI takes over the smaller tasks that can be time-consuming when patients are checking in and answering questions. We can use an integrated staff of doctors, Nurses, and AI to make it a smoother process for everyone involved. AI can revolutionize the healthcare industry in many ways; like all technology, there are some drawbacks and hiccups along the way, but we can find ways to have both technology and healthcare workers working together to build a better future for everyone. Artificial intelligence has already had a significant impact on the healthcare industry. Healthcare is being rejuvenated in some areas; both patients and healthcare professionals have been able to use AI's precision in medical image analysis. Some areas in which AI is revolutionizing healthcare are in Diagnostics, and AI can analyze data and medical images with precision, identify anomalies in X-rays, and interpret MRI scans. The technology can also identify diseases, which in turn is crucial for detecting diseases in the early stage. Healthcare professionals can make tailored treatment plans for patients with the help of AI technology; as we know, for patients, one size does not fit all. With this technology, each patient can have the exact plan they need to get the medications, therapy, and care they need and deserve. While we were laughing with Baymax in Big Hero Six, Virtual health assistance is already making patient engagement in healthcare services. While we are still determining if we will have the marshmallow robot soon, it is still in the realm of possibilities for the future. While some have concerns about AI's involvement in healthcare due to not only the sensitivity of information, according to Arun Ramachandran, while the potential of AI in healthcare is immense, Arun Ramachandran underscores the critical challenges and ethical considerations associated with its adoption (2023). While keeping a patient's information private is a grave matter, there are ways that we can mitigate the potential for data and ethics violations and leaks. Suppose patients have a choice in the use of AI technology or can give consent. To be able to give consent, the patient must first be able to understand
3 what the AI technology can do to help them and in their care going forward. Transparency is critical, not only for patients but for healthcare professionals as well. The data and decisions AI technology makes must be monitored. Not only that, but AI technology must have a base of fairness. Part of transparency is that the data and algorithms used should be shared with all healthcare professionals, regardless of the patient. Ethics are another essential factor in the use of AI technology. While AI can do several things, it cannot erode the human factor. The ability to talk to your healthcare professional, being able to be assured he has your best interest at heart cannot be seen in data alone. The EU has started on guidelines to look into and make a framework. K. Bærøe, A. Miyata-Sturm, and E. Henden wrote in an article called "How to Achieve Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence for Health" that as they are based on a fundamental rights approach, the relevance and importance of these guidelines can be considered universal. The Doctor's patient confidentiality must be assured even with AI technology. The patients must be aware that AI can be used to help them while at the same time assuring the professional they trust will still be with them and helping them along the way. There cannot be a fully AI healthcare center, as the emotional bonds will be broken. Doctors and nurses have a way to make you feel better in the worst of times; they are a confidant that you can tell your fears to. They can remove the fears and help you understand the best action. Although AI technology can help in many ways, we cannot, in good faith, take the human aspect out of healthcare. In conclusion, AI technology can be entwined into our current healthcare system so we retain all the highly skilled nurses and doctors we have today. We can use AI technology to assist in the complex data and evidence. At the same time, we
