To complete this activity, utilize the information in the Weather Information file provided in Module 2.« AType and save your work within the worksheet document provided in Module 2, not within this document. Then upload your completed worksheet to the course website.« In this activity, you will be guided in completing a partial pre-flight weather analysis for a flight in a Cessna 172 aircraft from Mount Pleasant Regional Airport (KOSA) in Eastern Texas to Quincy/Baldwin Field (KUIN) in Western lllinois. The flight distance is 450 miles and estimated flight time is about 3 hours. The planned departure time and date is 1300 Z on 17 April 2023. The departure and destination locations and flight path are identified on the maps in the Weather Information file.« For the activity, pretend that it is 17 April 2023 and that you are completing the tasks before the flight took place. Your analysis will NOT include a complete assessment of the flight weather and impacts.« In completing the activity, keep in mind the differences between weather and weather-related flight hazards or impacts. For example, fog and low clouds describe weather, and the associated weather-related flight hazards or impacts would be low ceilings and low visibility.« = Part A Analysis of Surface Weather and Temperature Maps« 1. Analyze the surface map valid at 1500 UTC* (1500 Z) (in between the planned departure and arrival times) to answer the following questions. « *For the activity, assume the 1500 UTC map accurately represents the large-scale surface weather situation over the entire planned timeframe of the flight a. State the local time at the departure and destination airports (both are in Central Daylight Time (CDT)) at the valid time of this map.« b. Based only on your analysis of the surface weather map, describe the surface weather at the departure and destination airport at the valid times of the maps. Support your discussion with evidence from the surface map only.« < 2. Based on the analysis of the surface temperature map valid at 1400 Z* (in between the planned departure and arrival times), describe the expected change in surface temperature between the departure and destination along the flight route. Support your discussion with information (i.e., temperature values) from the surface temperature map only, to include temperature values as interpolated from the map. « *For the activity, assume the 1400 Z map is a good representation of the surface temperature at departure and destination over the entire planned timeframe of the flight.< = Part B Analysis of Surface Weather at Departure and Destination« 1 Nernde the clirfarea nheanratinn etatinn madal nlate valid at 12NN 7 (1 hniir hefare nlannead danartiira
