PRGN o] [ oF= | W EXSUIETH R Y o Lol @ S 010104 =10 VA= 14 o I 2 9088 Political Issues Report Summary and Rubric The Political Issues Report is a project where the student is required to do thorough research on three political issues and provide a detailed summary of the issue along with an in-depth, research-backed analysis of two sides of the issue. Due on Week 11 (November 1-3) (Check D2L for the time and date for your class). Grade Breakdown: S Points for length (3 Pages minimum) S Points for argument & research (provide a strong overview of each side of the motion and reputable sources for each “Pro” and “Con” side.) S Points for Grammar/Syntax. 5 Points for MLA. You must have correct parenthetical in-text citations in your “Pro” and “Con” side and you must introduce them well. There must be one correctly cited source per “Pro” and “Con” side, so you must have six sources minimum cited correctly in your Works Cited page. You must also have a Works Cited page correctly formatted and with the correct bibliographic data. Political Topic : (30-50 Words. Provide an overview and define specific key terms that are important to the topic and motions.) Motion: (One sentence that is punctuated by a period. No question marks) Pro: (100-200 Words} Con: (100-200 Words) Additional Note: Approach this report like how we do our Arguments of the Week. I do not need to know what side you are on regarding these political issues. I need to see that you can find compelling, fact-based arguments on both sides of each motion.
