BEFORE EXECUTING THIS MPC, REFER TO THE MSDS/SDS FOR FULL SAFETY AND HANDLING PROCEDURES. 1. Inspect the entire seat for any visible damage or missing hardware while in “STOWED” position with a flashlight, (Refer to Figure 1 ). a. Replace all damaged or missing hardware. WARNING AVOID EYE CONTACT, SKIN CONTACT, AND INGESTION WITH SEALING COMPOUND. KEEP AWAY FROM ALL SOURCES OF IGNITION AND OXIDIZERS. WASH EXPOSED SKIN THOROUGHLY AFTER HANDLING. FAILURE TO COMPLY MAY RESULT IN PERSONAL INJURY. b. Apply sealing compound, P/N: ASTM D5363, on any hardware that was replaced. NOTE: There is no torque value required, do not over tighten. (1) Tighten any damaged or missing hardware securely. 2. Ensure that all fastening hardware is secure. NOTE: There is no torque value required, do not over tighten. a. Tighten all loose fasteners. NOTE: When inspecting the aft sling seat, it must be held in the “DOWN” position because the seat will automatically return to the “STOWED” position. 3. Deploy the aft sling seat. a. Unbuckle the seat retaining strap, (Refer to Figure 1 ). 4. Inspect the seat for corrosion. a. Clean all corrosion found using a wire brush.
