Case Study 14 Answers
Case Study 14:
14-6: What are some challenges Ellie is going to face in creating the new benefits packages for the international locations?
-
Some of the challenges that Ellie will face will be fitting the packages in with cultural norms and regulations in the area, the legal differences, communication with the different culture, and the cost difference from being in a different society.
14-7: What are some general recommendations for Ellie as she plans these benefits offerings?
-
Some general recommendations that I would give Ellie would be that she needs to be willing to change and work with the different culture, research their market to figure out good standards, develop a clear communication strategy, and stay compliant with the legal requirements of the area.
14-8: As a compensation professional, what would you do?
-
If I was a compensation professional in this position, I would try and figure out the culture/communication first and what people expect from their workplace. After that I would study the brewery market in that area and figure out the competitiveness of it. Lastly, I would use my findings from the first two steps then combine it with the legal nature of the area I am in.
14-9: What factors in this ethical dilemma might influence a person to make a less-than-ethical decision?
-
Some factors in this ethical dilemma would be if there was not a competitive market there then people could take advantage of the locals for work. Along with that, some people might not be willing to change with the culture which might cause local people to get annoyed and angry.

Topic: principle of Marketing the new product development processPlease to answer question below base on the example given to me, explain thoroughly ExampleIn Kingston, Jamaica, a good example of a new product development process is the recent launch of the Wisynco Eco line of products. Wisynco, a local beverage company, developed a new line of eco-friendly products, including a reusable water bottle and a biodegradable straw. The new product development process likely involved idea generation from employees and market research, as well as concept development and testing with potential customers. How Can You Get to a Backlog of over 100 Projects?
There are never enough resources to get everything done." Backlogs build over time. Sacred cow
projects get included in the selection system. Projects proposed from people who have left the airline stil
reside in the project portfolio. Non-value-added projects somehow make their way into the project
portfolio. Soon the queue gets longer. With everyone in IT working on too many projects concurrently,
project completion and productivity are slow.
Which Projects Remain?
To cut the number of projects, the steering committee used a weighting scheme that reflected the airline's
priorities, which were: fly safe, generate revenue, reduce costs, and customer service. The weighting
scheme easily weeded out the fluff. Coady noted that "by the time you get to the 20s the margin of
differentiation gets narrower and narrower." Of the remaining projects, project sponsors had to have solid
justification why their project is important. Reduction of the…
