2 Management and the Role of Human Resources. In any organization, the human resources department plays a fundamental role in the management of people and resources (van Geffen, 2020.) Human resource management teams are assigned to offer advice and guidance; especially to management teams on how to effectively manage individuals as organizational assets and resources (van Geffen, 2020). It is common for management team and human services to offer and guide management teams to assure that they are included identifying and employing people with an appropriate skill set to meet the organization's current long-term objectives. Human resources also setup benefits for employees and suggest programs for their personal growth. Human Resources professionals can serve as consultants rather than workers because from a specific business function most organizations like to offer management advice that will help range personnel-related matters to help the company achieve its objectives. Human resources management and its departments help managers succeed in their roles in several ways. Most human resource managers are urged to lobby senior management and their departments to fund management or a manager development (van Geffen, 2020). For better support for the managers, "empowerment" should come from human resource specialists. Human resources should encourage and provide training to help their employees build their people and soft skills. This will automatically free up management to undertake the more difficult aspects of their work. Managers, for example, may want instructions to facilitate delicate talks such as direct reports for employees who frequently arrive late (van Geffen, 2020). Human resources should work with senior management to create a culture of openness and constructive criticism, which supports manager engagement. It can deliver it properly simply by promoting constructive
2 criticism. When construction criticism is acknowledged and innovative, the attitude and dynamic of the company might alter; this is where agility can develop.
