Week 7 Discussion: Feedback Loops Hey All, Feedback is crucial when it comes to making necessary changes or decisions within a company. In order to make those decisions we will seek feedback from several internal groups at Amazon to help shape and improve the curated shopping service, including technology teams building the recommendation algorithms, operations teams managing fulfillment logistics, and customer service teams interfacing directly with users. We plan to gather this feedback through methods like focus groups, surveys, and analyzing usage data, then make iterative improvements through an agile development approach (Smith, 2023). For customers, we will employ feedback channels like post-purchase surveys and a feedback form on the service webpage. This will help capture likes, dislikes, and desired features to evolve the offering. Internally, feedback will be communicated up through division leaders as well as laterally across tech teams through daily standups. Externally facing project managers from each internal team will meet weekly to discuss customer feedback themes and collaborate on solutions. To drive customer adoption and loyalty, we will utilize continuous feedback loops to rapidly refine the service early-on then expand methodically based on demonstrated demand signals (Carpenter House, n.d.). We plan to gain feedback from a pilot group of 50,000 Prime members through usage patterns and qualitive surveys during an initial three-month private beta. Our algorithms will take an open, flexible architecture approach to easily integrate emerging preferences (Mercadal, 2023). We will then expand to larger samples in a staged rollout, ensuring feedback is addressed at each phase to meet demand growth. These deliberate feedback processes will enable data-driven scaling tailored to realizing the significant market opportunity through enhanced personalization. References: Carpenter House. (n.d.).
