2 Provide a brief synopsis of how the RTC concept has been applied in Jerusalem. Although held in high magnitude, Jerusalem also needs growth due to space conflict. The constant disagreements about areas signify the severity of differences of opinion. This dissolution is believed to be rooted in individuality, faith, adherence, and sex. The ongoing deliberation of these troubles has caused many to acquire the ideas of Henri Lefebvre and his ideas of the right to the city, also known as RTC. This theory is said to assist patrons in creating boundaries of space. Regarding Jerusalem, RTC has been applied by allowing citizens to take control of the spaces in which they dwell. According to Rosen and Shlay (2014), "Class struggle and revolution are the ultimate solutions to the inherent conflict between those who control land use and land users, and those who control the labor process and laborers. In the case of space where land users are largely urban, the right to control space becomes the RTC. It is not a slogan, but part of a political movement for social, political and economic transformation" (p. 936). Explain whether RTC separates positions from interests in dealing with the conflict and why or why not. Positions are superficial declarations of where an individual or group stands and seldom deliver awareness of the fundamental incentives, morals, or motivations. Interests are a group's primary reasons, principles, or inspirations. Interests clarify why an individual may stand on a particular notion. Based on the readings, it does appear that RTC separates positions from interests in dealing with the conflict among many of the towns of Jerusalem. According to Rosen and Shlay (2014), "The RTC is an approach which advocates the use of space by all, active participation in defining the meaning of space and challenging the status quo.
