Photograph three (3) different types of buildings identified by their construction type within
your response district or your local area and identify the hazards with the construction of each
building.
Construction 1- Type v, residential, wood framing. Issues that arise with this type of construction
include rapid fire spread and a decrease in structural integrity. This places firefighters in danger
as the structure is prone to collapse and a more defensive tactic may be needed.
Construction 2- Type III, ordinary, masonry and wood framing, these have lower rates of spread
from building to building due to the masonry. However, many of these building have voids and
underwent renovations that leave massive voids in the ceilings that can led to a rapid spread of
fire, the fire spread of the contents and concerning the voids place firefighters at risk.
Construction 3- Type I, Fire resistive, concrete and steel, the parking garage is a good example of
this. This structure is less likely to collapse and if it does it is often in a localized area. These
structures can hold a lot of heat which can become an issue to the fire services. They typically
do not have rapid fire spread like you would expect with other construction types such as Type
V, but it does depend on the contents.

A ski is made up of:1. Top. Polyamide polymer that has a relatively low glass transition temperature and resists chipping.2. Torque box wrap. Composites reinforced with glass, aramid or carbon fibers. Various fabrics and reinforcing fillers are used to make possible the flex and decoration characteristics of a ski.3. Center. Foams, vertical wood laminates, foam and wood laminates, honeycomb structures and other materials. Commonly used woods include spruce, bamboo, balsa wood, and birch.4. Vibration absorption zone. Rubber is normally used.5. Basis. Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene is used for its low coefficient of friction and resistance to abrasion.6. Borders. Heat treated carbon steel to 48 HRC hardness. It facilitates turning by "cutting" the snow.7. Layers of reinforcement. Fiber reinforced composites, usually fiberglass. Various fabrics and reinforcing loads to provide longitudinal stiffness.
Describe the material, for example, define that it is a polyamide polymer.
